Diving with Alpha Dive in Strand is the best! Excellent gear, good quality rentals, really knowledgeable (and patient!) instructors and dive masters. Always focused on safety first. Both open water and advanced courses are well structured but open enough to fit a working person's programme. Thanx for opening up a new world and a new hobby for me.

Awesome season of winter diving with Alpha. Dives are always well organized and fun. Pink dive for cancer was inspiring, treasure hunt dive a real treat, my best for the season was the cow shark dive. Fantastic dive however what makes it so pleasant is the brilliant company you dive with and the service received. Thank you Alpha i look forward to another season soon

Nice time staying at Planet Scuba and diving with Simply Scuba. A fascinating dolphin trip with Dolphin Encounters.
Best Chicken meals right next to Fernando's(Thanks Cronje for the tip)
Fantastic Durban Curry that can be ordered and delivered at Planet Scuba frontdesk for a sundowner dinner.
Remember:
- to bring your own drinks, since it ain't cheap there, especially if you like Amarula Cream evenings.
-bring a spare O-ring for your camera casing!! :(

Our trip to Ponta was a much anticipated event for me this year. Pity though about the small number of people eventually going. On arrival at Planet Scuba lodge we were greeted by friendly staff and the ins and outs of the lodge were explained to us. The staff are exellent an they will even kook an evening meal for you when you provide the ingrediants (they will give you a shopping list if you dont know what to buy). On a budget eating out every evening becomes to expensive, rather cook or braai yourself. On arrival simply scuba sent a viecle to pick up our dive gear and took it down to the dive shop. on day one we went down to the dive shop for our first day of diving to our surpprise we were the only four people diving that day so we had the whole boat for ourselves, "yay". We were all competent divers so we had awsome dives so we could push our limits. On day two four more divers joined our boat. Still we had ample space to kit up on the boat, and of course the dives were still awsome. Damon were our DM on all the dives and he was a exellent DM. once or twice one of the DM's os simply joined us on a dive but we just did our own thing. On thursday i didn't dive. not because of the weather, which was fine the whole week exept for most days being windy and cast over, but the R&R has a price. Friday came and so did the weekend tourists. Now we suddenly were fourteen divers on a boat so space became a luxury. At the back of the boat, that was the place to sit. The diving was still exellent exept for the occasional novice diver that swims into you or kicking up sand just as you are about to take a picture. Saturday was more of the same exept for the realisation that tomorrow is the end of the trip, but at least there is still two more dives that day, three if you can find space on a boat. Luckily I booked the previous day and still we had to move divers around to keep our group together on the same boat. So many people wanted to dive, it looked almost caotic, but the staff of simply performed well under pressure and at the end of the day every one got to dive. That evening Simply held a jamburee. the food was great and the rugby even better. Go WP! As for comparing the motel to planet scuba I can't. All I can tell you is that I had a lovely stay at planet scuba, the airconditioning is a big plus. Thanks to Alpha Divers for organising the trip. The car rental should be organised differently in the future.
