“Brilliantly equipped and close to a LOT of good climbing”

Perched high on the hillside above Tremp (not far to decent restaurants/supermarket etc.), Casa Mauri has to be one of the best equipped (and clean) places we've ever stayed.

We visited for the nearby climbing (Terradets, Collegats, Santa Linya etc.) and despite being very unlucky with the weather (worst in 40 years according to the news), the sheer range of options nearby meant we still got plenty of climbing in.

“Beautiful accommodation in a fabulous location”

The first sight of Santa Engracia perched on its rocky outcrop is so spectacular it makes you think it would be the perfect location for a Bond villain to have his lair. Happily the welcome is much more cordial than 007 could expect. The sheltered communal courtyard is the ideal place to chill over lunch or a glass of wine with other guests while the views from the private terrace to the distant mountains are spectacular and often rendered even more dramatic by birds of prey circling overhead. The apartment was well-equipped and comfortable, Jane is very welcoming and helpful, especially if you find you have run out of anything - it's a bit of trek down the mountain to the shops. The walking and climbing in the area is excellent. We have already stayed there twice and look forward to going again.

“Unique location. Spectacular.”

Perched on a rock pinnacle, the views are spectacular. The accommodation whilst up to date, retains many features of this ancient construction.
The surrounding area has so much to do and see.
We took a meandering ride down through France, stayed here a week exploring then toddled back. One of the best fortnight's holidays I've had.

“This place is an excellent place to relax”

We had a wonderful week in quiet isolation at this cottage. It was a clean, thoughtfully furnished cottage with everything we required. The bed and seating were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with appropriate equipment. Jane and Janet were excellent hosts and were on hand to provide advice and help. You can go on many walks without getting in the car and the locals are friendly. The 10 km drive up from the Main road is quite a highlight. Will definitely be seeking to book again in the future.
