The terrace overlooking the sea is truly a wonderful setting, sit there, face the waves, sip a drink, read, whatever, and forget the World. The rooms facing the back are not as good as the ones facing the sea, true, but you will get a good deal on agency sites such as booking.com (maybe 80 euro per night) This will be a double with superb breakfast so worthy it. Very friendly and helpful staff, free parking. The only drawback is no loft / elevator.

Found this hotel by chance.
Great location with direct access to a very pleasant beach and with a terrace for drinks breakfast etc.
Food at breakfast was fine and dinner was good quality .
Downside was lack of lift and I guess in high summer the lack of air con might be a problem.

Would certainly recommend for anyone looking for a base to explore the area(Dalhi Triangle etc.)

Found it on Google Maps initially and it was just as good as it looked. Accommodation was superb with sea facing room. We had half board and found all the food to be excellent, both the help yourself breakfasts and the three course dinners. We had booked a standard seaview room but found it to be on the 3rd floor and having only just having had a knee replacement, they offered us a premier room on the first floor and the hotel met the cost of cancelling the original booking. At 130.00 euros for the two of us per night for half board we thought it value for money.
Outside dining on the terrace was just what the holiday should be. Pleasant stroll into town and access to the beach direct from the terrace was very useful. Staff were among the friendliest and most helpful we have come across.

Room Tip: First floor room overlooking the sea.

If it was not for the hotel staff being so exceptionally friendly and helpful, I would be giving an overall rating of poor. Our first night was was spent in a room so hot that you could have fried eggs on the floor! There is no air conditioning in any bedroom. When I complained, a very helpful member of staff gave me a fan which helped a tiny bit but it was by far the worst night's sleep I have ever had in a hotel. The following day, when I said we would be checking out due to the heat in the room, they kindly moved us to a room with a sea view which receives less sun as it faces east. They did this at no extra cost too. As indicated, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The new room was better, but given that it got cloudy and rained, i think the weather saved us from further uncomfortable nights. The rooms were very clean but basic. The breakfast was good. One evening, we had dinner at the hotel and I have to say that the food was very good quality. However, when the waitress (who it later transpired owned the hotel) got my order wrong, she blamed me! When I tried to explain that I would not have ordered scallops because I hate shell fish, she still maintained that I ordered them....quite unbelievable. The hotel staff are very very good and it is a shame that the owner will not invest in air conditioning.

Room Tip: get a room facing the beach. great views, quieter and cooler than rooms facing the road.

Unplanned stay extended, as hotel and location were so good. Hotel overlooks small sandy beach that can be reached from terrace. Try to get a room that is facing the sea , as they all seem to have balconies and , of course the view is great. Breakfast is included in room price and it seems that full board is also available. Normally I wouldn't recommend having dinner in a hotel but in this case I wouldn't hesitate as he food was first class.
Downside is that the hotel doesn't have a lift and if your room is on the third or fourth floor, it can be a bit of an ordeal when carrying luggage.

Overview: we stayed at this hotel for the sea, kayaking/ swimmingsnorkeling and we were very happy with our choice or this. Next important on the agenda is food and we had a great variety throughout and no bad experience at all. We always hope that the hotels we choose will at least provide the basics well - such as comfy bed, decent food, good shower and Grifeu also delivered on this front.

Positive: helpful, friendly staff - english or french and of course spanish spoken by most. Comfy good sized bed. Constant temp and pressure in the shower. Wonderful terrace. Incredible views especially of the sunrise - awesome, set your alarm and don't miss it, you really want to see it about 30mins before sunrise as the sky is deep red. Decent diner menu, well presented and served, not outstanding but tasty and well done, choice of 3 options on 3 courses. Price stacks up well against the French hotels in the south of France in our opinion. Ok breakfast, great coffee. 12 min walk to Llanca port (not to our taste as over commercialised although an excellent variety of restaurants and bars) but 5 more mins will get you into the old town which we really enjoyed - not so much choice, we hunted about and found some great tapas and traditional music.

Negative: on the hottest day we were there the room was too hot without aircon at night. The other nights were fine as the sun goes off the sea front side of the hotel at about mid-day so it cools down ok and there's a good and quiet fan in the room. Breakfast was a bit limited but then it is a 2* hotel. That's it on the negatives given that it's rated as a 2* and the price is 196 euros for room, breakfast and evening meal for two people we actually felt we got a really great deal.

For a 2* hotel we grade it highly, for the price we paid we rate it highly, it's not perfect but it provided all the basics really well. We had a sea view prestige room and we really enjoyed our stay and will be back, if we could have stayed longer we would have done. Well done Grifeu and thank you for looking after us so well.

Room Tip: Prestige sea view was excellent.

Arrived at this hotel without booking and were greeted by a friendly English speaking receptionist who made us very welcome. We didn't know how long we were going to stay but that was not a problem.
We were given a room with fantastic views over the bay.WE opted for the half board deal and were not disappointed. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate and the evening meal, absolutely fantastic with different menus every night.Full compliments to the chef and the waiting staff in the restaurant.
We ended up staying a week and would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, value for money and friendly competent staff.
Only negative, no lift but as we were on the third floor, we definitely felt much fitter by the end of the week!
