We wanted to stay close to the coast for our third night on our French vacation, and we chose this beautiful property in the quaint village of Quiberville. We arrived late, and we hadn't had a chance to stop for dinner anywhere yet. We had a few snacks in our suitcase, and were quite prepared to eat those. But when Isabelle (the proprietor) asked us if we had had dinner and realized we hadn't, she insisted on cooking us something so we could have some nourishment before going to bed. We brought our luggage into her lovely home (and into the most splendid room we enjoyed on our whole holiday, including a fantastic antique mirror, amazing bathroom with modern, elegant shower, and everything in perfect order), and when came out to her dining table, we sat down to a meal with candelabras lit, and a superb ham and cheese omelette with fresh breads and cheeses from the area! Totally unexpected! We slept well that night, and in the morning we were greeted by Isabelle (and her cats and dog) to a terrific French breakfast, including fresh breads, croissants, yogurt, and preserves. Our host couldn't have been any sweeter. Gorgeous home, delicious food, and a fantastic host! And, for only $65 Euro, this was the best value we enjoyed our entire trip!
