Reviewed February 28, 2013

A visit to the museum and seeing the sights and sounds of the 1st world war is a moving experience I am very glad I was alowed to share just a small part of the horrors of the 1st war and to try and understand how the soldiers suffered, it was truely a moving experience. Mrs. k Ellis.

“Great value and very informative”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

€11 for two adults and a child was excellent value. Informative museum, plenty to see if you don't mind reading. Great atmosphere. Dugout experience was really interesting. Teenage son tells me "it was really good" which is praise indeed!

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

We visited in mid november; it was freezing cold and nice to get in somewhere warm. The museum is well ordered and there is a lot to see with good displays. Most interesting was the underground dugouts; really gives you an idea of the living conditions and this made it a most worthwhile visit. Take food with if you are going on a sunday as we couldn't find anywhere nearby open for lunch.

“Simple and informative Museum”
Reviewed November 18, 2012 via mobile

I enjoyed this site. With its reconstruction of the Yorkshire trench and all of the information available from being able to smell the different gases used to the uniforms and weapons used in the war. There is a small shop and a very good little cafe near buy. They are currently refurbishing much of the site

“Interesting Museum”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

An interesting view of the trench life of the soldiers on the front. The recreation of the underground trenches is very good and provides some sense of the conditions at the time. Interesting to see how close to the lake they were tunneling to get under the church. Tunneling took some clever people.
