Unfortunately my husband and I did not stay here, as we found out how wonderful Terra Khaya was after we'd booked accomodation in the town.
We were keen to do some horse riding and booked in with Shane ( A thoroughly nice bloke!). Out we went in the mist and through the forest and had simply the best ride of my life. Shane is wonderful with his horses and they are evidently a great love of his. I loved natural horsemanship- not using bites.
After our first amazing ride we were given a much needed cup of tea and I was shown around by Zane one of the volunteers. At this point I was disappointed not to have stayed there. I would have loved an outdoor bath!!!!!!
We rode the next day as well- equally wonderful and this time we got to enjoy the scenery as the mist had lifted.
Even though we didn't stay at Terra Khaya I have and will rave about it to anyone who'll listen. I've no doubt that it has things it can improve on but I'm giving it a 5 star rating for the wonderful experience we had and for the fact that now, back in Scotland, it is the one place I wish every day I could teleport back to and have one last ride on gorgeous Baron.
