“Fantastic Hotel”

We stumbled upon the Lochness Inn and what a find...superb rooms and really welcoming staff. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food was very good. It was reasonably priced and we would recommend this hotel highly.

Wonderful stay here. On arrival, we were welcomed at the door with a worried host saying the computers were down - I thought this was going to be a problem but no, we were immediately taken to two twin rooms instead of the family suite we had ordered but at no extra cost. There was a strong wind blowing and rain starting when we got there, so our host said, "Get yourselves settled and we can do the paper work over dinner" - menu is great and the dinner was fantastic - really good food at great prices. The steak dinner was huge, mussel starter was great as was the chicken stuffed with black pudding and mushrooms.
The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, LCD TV on the wall, hairdryer, tea and coffee and a great shower room - the inn is pretty new so I hope it stays as pristine. The staff were really superb and truly understood what a warm elcome should be about.

Would strongly recommend staying here, particularly while it keeps that new feel to it.

After trying to find a place to stay in or around Inverness, we called up the Loch Ness Inn and we were extremely lucky to get a family room which is a twin room, a double room, and a shared bathroom all connected together. Having seen the other comparable places in Loch Ness and Inverness, we considered ourselves very lucky to get a room at the Loch Ness Inn.

It was opened only seven weeks ago from a complete renovation, and even though I'm sure we weren't the first people to stay in the family room, it definitely felt like it. The entire property is decorated in a contemporary Scottish theme and is very minimal and modern.

The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was small but nice, plenty of hot water and the shower had really good water pressure. The entire place was spotless, and we can't really fault anything about it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the dinner and breakfast we ate there were beyond expectations.

We highly recommend this place to anyone going to Loch Ness or the surrounding area(s), and we'd definitely stay there again. While it's not a luxury accommodation, it's a great value for the price (150 GBP or US$300 for the entire family room) including a full Scottish breakfast for four people.

Just as a frame of reference, we travel quite a bit and some of our favorite hotels are: the Mandarin Oriental--Miami & Washington DC, The Clifton Inn--Charlottesvile, VA, Hotel Duo--Paris, On The Ave--NYC.

This is the place to stay if you are after friendly attentive service, outstanding food and comfortable rooms at an everyday price

The interior has been recently modernised in what could best be described as modern Scottish. The building used to be an old brewery, stone and white washed walls, deep window sills, beams and lowish ceilings all add to the traditional feel. However the use of Harris tweed upholstery in a combination of colours reflecting the Scottish landscape and bold Farrow and Ball paint colours to compliment the upholstery give the interior of the bars and restaurant a very contempory feel. Upstairs was decorated in similar style although the paint colours were more pastel. Our room although not large was comfortable with a king sized bed and a powerful shower.

The menu has a good range of dishes at prices to suit everyone. The chef is outstanding, producing dishes with an intensity of flavour and artistry, rare in these days of pre-prepared food. We sat next to a german couple who reckoned they were getting a real bargain in terms of cooking craft and taste. We had some superb scallops and sea bass that were the most expensive main courses at £16.95 but they were so well prepared they were worth every penny.

After a good night’s sleep we had an excellent breakfast, including fresh fruit salad and croissants as good as those from a village boulangerie in France.

Throughout our stay the staff were friendly, attentive and polite. With such a quality offering The Loch Ness Inn is setting a new standard.
Best of all there is no mention or pictures of the monster only a clever allusion.
