First thing first....this is not in Ravangla, this is in Borong, a good half an hour drive from Ravangla. This place is recently developed as a tourist spot and so is the resort. Nice cozy resort with all basic amenities. Small garden surrounding the resort makes it more beautiful. You will get to see different type of birds here. In the morning the view of the snow-capped mountain is really great, though Kanchenzungha is not visible from here (only the tip), but one can see the other ranges. We could see the ranges from our balcony. The wooden cottages are beautiful. Rooms are neither too small nor too big. Bathroom is spacious with 24hr running hot water but nothing hi fi which is ok at the price they are taking. There is a small dinning hall inside the resort where you will get basic Indian & Chinese dishes. Its better to have a reserved car becoz there is no taxi stand nearby. Only nearby place to get transport is Ravangla. All in all a very nice experience.

The place is beautifully located and breath-taking, from where you can see the snow clad peaks. Whole day you can hear different type of Birds song everywhere. All in all, a fine stay, with the tranquility and beauty punctuated by the presence of energetic leeches in the garden among the pretty wild & bright colourful beautiful flowers.

The log hut rooms were more or less spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms are with modern amenities. There are some others type of rooms also present (bricks & sandstone room). is good with modern bathroom fittings. Every category of rooms has balcony facing the Himalayan Mountain Peak.

Food quality was simply awesome (Bengali, Chinese, etc). The service was very good, with smiling faces.

Every one must visit Borong to feel the tranquility & calmness of un-explore Natural Beauty of Himalaya.

This resort is like my second home, since 2009 when I first reached there. Its basic wooden structure cottages are a wonderful blend to the greenery around.
The hospitality is excellent.

The resort and its surrounding areas are filled with rhododendron flowers.
Special mention to another plant known as Cestrum Elegance,
the plant bears a flower which turns to a cherry like fruit.

Sunbirds just love the nectar in these flowers and they hover for a few seconds to feed on this. When the flower turns into cherry like fruit, then comes the Yuhinas and the Grosbeaks.

The road to Borong has now improved with considerable maintenance,
though there were times when my car got stuck for several hours caught in a land slide.
The resort has grown over the years and can house quiet a number of people now.
Accommodation standards have improved a lot, so is the food.

This is not a luxury resort, nor its those family get aways. Be there if you are birding or just love tranquility.
