When I asked to reserve a single room by e-mail I was advised they had no single rooms available and I would have to have a double/twin at double room rate. I accepted this. The hotel is more than the 200 metres from the Ferry Port as stated on their web site, however it is certainly within walking distance, and is very close to restaurants, shops and the airport bus stop. The receptionist was very helpful when I checked in and I had a twin room (Room 11 second floor) which was adequate, the room was clean and there was a fridge and TV in the room. The shower room had no door - not a problem for me but it could be for others. The shower was just an attachment hung on the wall, to use it you either had to stand on or in the loo or use it as a hand held attachment. 5 hours later the floor was still swimming in water. I had to check out early - to catch the 6am bus to the airport, there was no-one on duty so I had to leave the key on the floor outside reception.

This hotel has no lift, so be prepared to carry your luggage up one or two flights of stairs. The hotel wasn't full by any means on the night of my stay so they could have offered me single room rate, I had a twin room so obviously only one set of single sheets was used and one set of towels. The air conditioning doesn't work very well and works on the electric 'key' meaning you can't leave it switched on when you leave your room, which is fine if it works well when you're in the room, but it doesn't, so be prepared to be very warm for the duration of your stay.

This hotel is fine for one night as a stopover but certainly not for more than that.

Room Tip: Även vårt rum mot torget (med mycket folkliv) var tyst under natten.
