“Best food in Argentierre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2014

I would rate this as the best restaurant in Argentierre. The food is always excellent and the wine list has something for everyone. For something special pick the Pomerol. The staff are friendly, but you do have to book as it gets very busy especially in the peak ski season

“Superb meal in cosy restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2014

This is a small, intimate, nicely decorated and furnished restaurant, and reservations are usually needed for after 7pm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was undoubtably the best meal so far in Argentiere (after 4 other pretty good restaurants). My cote d'agneau were beautifully cooked and tasted lovely. My wife's magret de canard was also superbly cooked and flavoured. My desert - coupe fleur de sel - was to die for. The pichet of house wine (Ventoux origin) was excellent value for money. We've booked for our last night here on Friday night to end on a high.

“Best addition to Argentiere in a decade”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

Wonderful restaurant for lunch and dinner..Service is super and the menu excellent , from salads to filet de perche and an excellent steak or lamb..For desert, cafe gourmand. amongst other excellent options. You can tell this is great value also because tourists have to reserve to get in ahead of the local towns people..For those in Chamonix, take the train , 20 minutes of fun, restuarant is right at there at Argentiere station, and the wine can be consumed.Terrace in the summer is outstanding.

“Delicious and affordable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2013 via mobile

Always good, this is our favourite restaurant in Argentiere. Very pleased to see the food and service are still up to standard on our return. Menu Brasserie really good value and a firm favourite. Wine list covers all the bases. The only disadvantage is that it is so good you often have to book!

“We always eat here. Best in Argentiere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2013

We eat here regularly. the menu and food are simple Savoie cuisine, but everything is done well, without pretension and is delicious.
Largely revolves around steaks, grills etc served with frites, a simple bottle of wine, and served by regular knowledgable staff. Although i am not a fan of Steak Tartare it is undoubtedly one of the highlights, and a lovely ceremony serving it
in summer you can sit outside with a fabulous view of the Grand Montets. what more can you want.
the only negative is the internal lighting!! Makes it look more like a showroom than a restaurant; so just ignore that and enjoy the steak and chips.
