This little restaurant was a lovely find on my trip to Argentierre last year, so we were highly delighted to see that a year later it was still a bustling French restaurant serving quality produce at reasonable prices.

Staff as others have said could be a little friendlier, yet once we had made our 3rd appearance in as many days we were treated with the same hospitality as the locals.

We had a wonderful dinner at La P'tite Verte. They have more of a local menu as opposed to the pizza and burgers at the pubs. Very good quality. If the wait staff was a little more friendly, I would have given them a perfect score. Food was good, but the french need to understand that tourists want the "full" experience which includes friendly service.

As you enter Argentiere, you might miss this relatively new restaurant which is in one of the first buildings on your left. Its just opposite the train station. Be sure to reserve your table as it gets quite booked up. The restaurant is family run by part of the family that once ran the 'Dahu' at the top of the village. La P'tite Verte offers good tasty food, is far from pretentious and is definitely good value. Try the 'omelette Savoyard' for a starter - probably enough for two, or the carpaccio of beef. Both delicious. There is always a nice atmosphere and service is friendly. Our kids love it too. There is a large table in the centre of the restaurant which is higher than than the other tables: you could end up sitting near other folk which can be nice. The best table is the round table near the bar. Far from the front door and therefore no draughts from people coming in and out. Though there is a kind of 'sas' to ensure that there are none. Restaurant is also wheelchair friendly - unlike many mountain restaurants.
