“visited twice - better than other reviews suggest”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Belongs to the Hotel de la Couronne and gives 10% discount to Hotel guests (which helps) Most dishes were good or very good. Murray (age 10) rates the fruites de mer pizza as "the best ever" Were helpful with gluten-free requirement for our daughter. Peach Melba was obscene - in that it was huge and well made with great ingredients - and it was huge (did I mention !)

“Need to improve on customer service”
Reviewed January 14, 2013 via mobile

The food is well priced and of good quality but the staff is not overly friendly.
We had booked a table for 11 on New Year's Eve and got told at the booking that e table had to be free for 9pm for the second service, which was fine.
We could not order dessert even though it was 8.45 pm as we were given the bill to leave as soon as we had finished our plates.
I might go back there for lunch in a small group and not o New Year's Eve to give it Asher chance as the outside area looks very nice and the food was good. And we'll hopefully get a smile then...

“Avoid”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

I went with a group of friends to this restaurant, though the food was good, we were really shocked by the welcoming of the owner and waiters...
We were told even before being sat at our table "not to run around and stay still"!!!! We were all in our late 20's 30's...That was the tone set when we arrived...
They then took to much liberty in the way they talked to us, when our dishes arrived we had a portion for two instead of for three (we are normal eaters but they gave us a two portion of fondue:) when we complained the answer was "that's because you went skiing it makes you hungry", or "being a teen gives you appetite"...) I believe being a customer you have to be treated as such not being talked to like an idiot, as we were a good group of people.
We would have taken dessert and coffees but preferred to leave in such conditions.Again it's a shame as the food was good but the staff really lacks of professionalism and welcoming.

“Over priced and poor quality everything!”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

Family of six having a variety of dishes. Every single one failed to impress.

Steak was terrible, all fat and gristle, very small eye of meat. The bourdaise sauce was nothing of the sort, it was onion in red wine and not a good one.
No veg arrived for any of the meals.

Cheesecake was stodgy and flavourless, chocolate mousse was more like a cake.

Average prices very exspensive. Avoid this place.

“Two after hike lunches”
Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

We have ended up here twice after hikes in the alps and haven't been disappointed.

Excellent location and although the prices aren't cheap the food is very good and the menu varied.

The location and terrace means it is popular with the tourists but lots of locals were eating there too!
