What a fabulous visit. Welcomed by wonderful volunteers ann given a guided tour of the house, incorporating the costumes frm the Miss Fisher Mysteries. There was a wealth of information about everything, including tantaslising teasers of the ghost tours which are also conducted.
We also partook of the 5 course Governor's Dinner in the Governor's Dining Room. Service was friendly and unobtrusive.
You gained a sense of life in times gone by, both above and below stairs. The dedication of volunteers is a joy to behold in keeping this place alive as a vibrant venue to visit.
I am embarassed not to have been there before, but with the range of avtivities held in and around old Government House, I shall certainly be back for more.
Supporting and joining the National Trust should be on most people's list!!
