“Authentic Chinese”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

During peak times there is usually a wait, but this is only because the food is so good. This is authentic northeast Chinese food so don't come here looking for curried prawns and rice. The house special is a spicy dish that contains tripe, pig ear and is absolutely delicious. We also had dumplings, tofu and shallot salad, shredded potato salad and special pork bones.
The meals here were every bit as good as the meals we had in China. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
The listing here says Church St but they are actually down in Charles Street.

“Horrible service & food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

Never ever have I been to such a horrible place before. Getting service was a pain in the rear end with at least 2 hours waiting time and on top of that food took 30mins to come out. The food was average, nothing to rave on about. The only reason why I came here in the first place was because previous review said it was a 'cuisine to die for' that is a lie, dont know what the previous reviews were talking about. My fiancee and I will never be coming here again!

“Excellent Chinese cuisine with hand-made noodles”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

I am usually not a fan of Chinese food but this one deserves a review because it is simply fantastic food. Not your typical westernised chinese menu, this restaurant offers hand-made noodles, we had the beef stir-fried and the pork and seafood dumplings and they were both amazing. We also tried toothpick lamb and it is great but be ready to cry because there is a LOT of chili into that dish. If you like very spicy, this is the kind of dish you will find very tasty and you'll want to come back for more. Finally we also had lamb with shallots and fried rice. Everything was really good and the prices are more than decent. The portions are generous (16 dumplings, for example) and the prices usually between $10-$15 per dish which we thought was really reasonable for the quality and quantity.

The only down side to this place is that because everything seems to be made fresh, you have to expect some wait. Our order was for take-out and we waited about 45 mins before it was ready. The place was packed, but we saw people inside that arrived after us being served before we got our order. We just assumed this happened because multi-course meals can be spread out throughout a period of time where a take-out order has to be ready all at once. This is the only reason why I am not giving this restaurant 5 stars. We will definetely go back but maybe we will try to plan ahead next time and possibly order over the phone (if that's possible??). A last downside is that they only accept cash. No eftpos or credit card. To be fair, there is a Commonwealth Bank accross the street from them.

“dumplings to die for .. lots of other good stuff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2013

this out of the way place is pretty special. Down near the wharf at Parramatta. It specialises in dumplings of all sorts. But I love the traditional vegetable salad which is cabbage, garlic, thin rice noodles, garlic, little carrot, garlic - yep they have lots of garlic in this. They do a celery and sesame seed salad that is yummy. Their eggplant dishes are extraordinary. they have several and they are all excellent. The pancakes with shallots are the perfect complement to the tasty foods. They make their own noodles on site and have nice stuff with them
They can be a little slow, because it is all made fresh. Worth the time, best not to rush it. The menu has photos, not all the staff have great English, but we manage. has won awards.
