“Delightful experience”

We ended up staying at Mantra Parramatta because Sydney itself was far too expensive over the New Years period, however the experience they provided was second to none. From the moment I arrived at the reception desk, I was already enjoying my stay.. Maybe it is just the training, but I felt like the staff actually cared and didn't give off the vibe of wanting to be somewhere else like so many reception staff do elsewhere.

The location within Parramatta itself is great, the Westfield shopping centre is across the road and so to is the train station if you are wanting to travel into Sydney or go to Stadium Australia, as we did.

While the rooms were nothing particularly special, they were modern, provided a comfortable bed to sleep on, were spacious enough and had a nice clean bathroom. The Mantra certainly ticks all the boxes in what I look for in a hotel.

P.S. If you are planning on using parking, make sure you can navigate your car through tight spaces, there isn't a lot of room to move in the car park!

Stayed there for new year's eve and the day after. Overpriced because of the season can be understood. However, the bed was a bit uncomfortable and the room had poor noise isolation and a very noisy air-condition system. Room was clean.

The place was quite clean and the staff were friendly. Size of gym is slightly small. Stayed in both the apartment rooms (2012) and the hotel room (2013) on two separate occasions and was not disappointed.

Nice establishment, Booked through wot if! Complementary Sunday paper and Cleo mag for wife! However there was a problem with the door lock so asked to change rooms for security reasons and received a upgrade to a comfort sweet with crn spa. Nice buffet breakfast was included in our special deal all for $120 a double and received a $5 discount on parking because of being a past customer. This is why i keep going back to the Mantra at Parramatta. keep up the great service cheers Steve L

I have been staying here for the last 6 months every 2nd week, It has taken me a few visits to pick the best rooms away from the street traffic noise, I have only 2 small complaints with the rooms and they are the heating version of the air conditioners never work in any room and the rooms that have the 2 single beds joined together are most uncomfortable. Having said that I cannot say enough good things about to staff at reception, each time I visit I am made to feel like I am in my second home, smiles, and welcome back comments are abundant. But I have to say that the staff member who has made my stay most enjoyable is Renee, she has personally gone above and beyond a customers expectations with helping me with issues in my room, suggestions and booking restaurants for me, and basically making me look forward to my next visit. Renne is one of the most professional service people I have met for a very long time. 10\10 . Peter Marsden

Hotel had great facilities, very clean and spacious room, great location close to the train station and Westfield.

When I booked online and was asked our expected arrival time, I put 4pm. Due to other circumstances we arrived late at 7pm, only to be told that our room had not been cleaned that day and was not ready. We stood at the counter for around 20 minutes while they tried to find us a room. The ladies were very polite and apologised, and offered $5 off of breakfast, but that still does not excuse the fact that at 7pm our room was not ready. Why wasn't it cleaned? Is this normal practise? I would expect this in the afternoon close to check in time, but at 7pm? Surely this is so taboo in the hospitality world that we should have at least been offered free breakfast? There were moments there where we thought they weren't going to even find a room for us. The lady had to call in help from someone as she couldn't find one.

Ofcourse when we arrived to our room there was no sofa bed made up for the third person, and we had to ask. Once again this was recitified quite quickly, but we shouldn't have had to ask. I understand we didn't take our assigned room but they should have noticed at the desk that we booked for 3 and advised us the bed would be made up shortly.

Other than that, the staff and hotel were great. If it wasn't for the check in problem we would stay again. I realise we only waited 20 minutes but after arriving 3 hours later than anticipated that was the last thing we wanted to do. If there's one thing a hotel should do, it's make sure your room is available, or provide adequate compensation. Even with the $5 off it was still cheaper to go anywhere at Westfield for breakfast.

Stayed 5 nights with work. Had a 1 br executive apartment which was clean and spacious with a laundry, kitchenette, balcony and a nice east and northerly view from which you could see centre point tower over in the Sydney CBD (I was on the 15th floor room 1502). Handy to the train and bus terminal and also Westfield Shopping Centre. Wheelchair accessible and friendly hotel. Room was cleaned daily and was well maintained. Air con was good but the windows opened which was nice for some air. Didn't use room service but there is a fairly standard type menu/choices. Breakfast buffet ok but nothing special.

Room Tip: Room 1502 if you're a couple. Nice views, large and has a spa.
