“WONDERFUL! Just the retreat my soul needed!”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

As an artist I found the aesthetics of the hotel to quite lovely and inspiring. I was able to create a few nice pieces while staying there and sketched numerous inspired pages into my diary as well. The rooms were very comfortable, including the beds! I am American and the standard Euro-split mattress was undetectable and I was very comfortable through the night. The desk area was the perfect set-up for my computer and journaling and the downstairs lounge area as well as the breakfast room was perfect for larger painting projects. The owner happened to be on duty during our stay and is quite a lovely and personable man. He made sure that we personally had everything we needed and that we were very comfortable. Our room had a separate heating unit (that was lemon scented) making the room very cosy at night! As an artist I am very open and free but can understand that not everyone is so please note that if you require more than a glass divider in the bathroom, you may need to book another hotel. My husband is a very private mans so when he used the restroom I would play music to give him the feeling of privacy he needed. Again, if you are a private person, this may not be OK with you so you will need to look for another hotel. I married this man, I am sharing a room with him, who cares if he sees or hears me through glass, he lives with me! That is my thinking so I loved the glass bathroom partition and loved that it brought additional light and space to the bedroom. The bathrooms are equipped with a bidet and a jacuzzi tub! So relaxing!

The breakfast buffet was quite nice and the coffee is absolutely vital! You must start your day with it! Delicious! The lunch specials are a wonderful value and staff makes sure you are well cared for. Dinner is equally amazing and should you decide not to leave the hotel you can count on eating well for the day! They also both cable TV and Satellite in case you are a bit under the weather and need to spend a day recuperating.

Please ask when you book about the pool and spa as it may not be heated during the off season. Also ask to borrow books and information on the area to enhance your visit!

Room Tip: All the rooms are good rooms BUT if you are a smoker, ask for a room with a terrace, they have them...

My husband and I first stayed in this charming hotel 2 years ago and returned last year. We have just booked to go again! The owners are extremely accommodating ( we brought our bikes on holiday with us) and friendly. The rooms are rustic ,simple and clean and it is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful old part of Alcudia town. There are many restaurants within walking distance but the hotel restaurant is definitely worth trying. It's set in a cosy courtyard and the food is excellent.

Room Tip: The bottom floor room has a four poster bed and is very spacious

Just back from a stylish week in this exquisite boutique hotel. Room and hotel ambiance are excellent with efficient air conditioning, owners Pedro & Julia and all their staff are delightful, and the food delicious. We were thoroughly spoiled.
The high quality Half Board tariff is highly recommended although the a la carte also offers superb extended choice for gourmets - the restaurant has the reputation of being the best in Alcudia old town.
As the weather was unseasonably warm 24-29C and seawater was 24C, only used the little pool once-very refreshing for hardy souls, but probably warmer in mid summer.
Breakfast is taken in the stylish patio with a running fountain. You can also dine indoors if you prefer.
The hotel is quiet at night despite being only 200 yards from the market. Car parking is available beyond the market.
If your taste is for higher quality and overall ambience than that found in most hotels then the Ca'n Simo will not disappoint you.
Thank you Pedro and Joanna for a wonderful holiday.

This small hotel in Alcudia old town was ideal for our needs. It is situated on a pretty street walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Spacious, comfortable, clean, air-conditioned rooms. (However if you bring a car you will need to park a short distance away - there is a lot of free parking available.)

We also had one meal in the restaurant which is run from the hotel premises (although I think it's a different business). This was also good, not outstanding but definitely good with efficient and friendly service but slightly pricey for what it was.

One negative: they definitely need much better coffee for breakfast!

We stayed for 4 nights in this petit hotel in the heart of Alcudia. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff really, really helpful, and we felt welcome and safe. The location was excellent. Would definitely recommend!
There is a restaurant in the same building that serves the breakfast for the hotel quests, restaurant Sarc. Not only was the breakfast delicious, they offered a 10% discount for hotel quests. We ate two big dinners there, and loved every bite.

Wonderful hotel so much better than I expected. This hotel is in the town walss of the ancient town of Alcudia. It has so much character and the rooms are delightful. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was filling and of a very high standard. We also ate in the hotel once which was excellent. This hotel is great for expolring the area because of its position and it means that you can up at night (Free Parking), and explore and tatse the delights of the many restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. Because of the walled town it could get a little noisy at night with of the restaurants wheeling bins at the end of the evening. But you have to expect things like this in such an ancient and upspoilt area, it does not spoil the holiday. congraulations to the owners for creating a wonderful hotel.

Room Tip: Any all fantastic. Stone walls so typically spanish with a modern twist.

When I am staying in a hotel I like to be able to order my dinner from a menu rather than fight everyone else over a buffet. We found this 7 bed 19th Century Majorcan boutique hotel inside the Roman Walls of Alcudia and it didn't disappoint. The half board option adding €18pp for a 3 course dinner plus appetiser is great value (same limited menu is also the set lunch menu). Choice of two starters and mains - food quality, presentation and taste would rival many top restaurants in London. Only downside (husband is cyclist) - not enough carbo - so ask for bread!
Rooms clean with hairdryer, LCD TV, Aircon and nice hard beds. Our room overlooked the courtyard with its own balcony. Pedro the owner is very helpful, and all the staff are lovely. My husband even had a chat with the kitchen staff in the kitchen (bike stuff!)
