we stayed there for a few nights. the family is very charming and they even invited us to some wine tasting one evening. the finca is new and they have just started servicing this year. this place is worth a visit and we will come back one day. access to mallorca or port d'alcudia and pollenca is quick and uncomplicated.

This farm hotel is perfect for staying in the complete relax inside the nature.
the building is old but restored very well in order to be also modern and confortable inside.
In the complex there is also a very nice swimming pool.
It is sorrounded by old trees, vineyards and wine cellars.
There is also a separate place for animals, where you can find a family of very nice donkeys that come near you looking for food.
Last but not least the owner and his family are very friendly with guest and you will feel like at your home.

I never write reviews but I had to post one for this hotel. First and foremost, the service was wonderful - they could not do enough for us. I had looked for a private, luxury hotel that was close to the coast - but still affordable. With that criteria,it is difficult to find something in Mallorca- but this hotel lived up to the task!

If you want a peaceful stay, lovely rooms and great food - but to feel like you are staying with friends - this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: The suites have lovely private terraces.

We stayed at Son Simovell between the 25 Sept – 2 Oct 2010 and if we had to summarize it in one word it would be “perfect”. We wanted a relaxing holiday with a bit of luxury and really high quality food and we were not disappointed.
We found this gem of a place by accident after calling Trip Advisors No1 rated place in Majorca. They were full for the dates we required and didn’t accept children, so the owner recommended I called his former employee Leigh who was now the manager of a recently opened boutique hotel called Son Simovell . It suited us perfectly as it was a few km from sandy beaches and also had its own pool. Then one look at the website and we were sold! I also felt confident that although it was a newly opened place it had been recommended by the owner of the top rated hotel in Majorca who knew the manager Leigh very well as she had managed his hotel.
We travelled with our 18 month old daughter and even though the hotel might not be targeted to families – they did everything they could to help during our stay to make us feel very welcome. For example our flight was delayed for 3 hours and food was waiting for us at our room at 11pm when we arrived. My wife was also suffering with a sore throat and Leigh made her fresh hot lemon and honey every morning without us asking her to. These little touches made our stay even better.
We chose a junior suite rather than a double room as this gave us a larger room, with our own garden area out the front where we could choose to sunbathe or relax while our daughter was sleeping during the day. The room was very recently renovated, and I would say easily as good as any 5 star hotels I have stayed at. The walls were brilliant white with marble floors, huge comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. There was a flat screen TV, lots of hanging space. There was also Air conditioning and a mini bar.
After a week we went on a tour through the main house and other junior suites and all the rooms and suits they have available are exactly as the pictures on their website show. All extremely nicely decorated in a very modern style and something that they don’t mention on the website – all the beds are large comfortable and adjustable which is a very nice touch.
Good quality food is very important to us to make a good holiday and this place excelled in this area. The breakfast buffet was of high quality, plenty of choice of meats, cheeses, freshly baked bread, cereal, fresh fruit, fresh juices, filter coffee and teas as well as Mallorcian delicacies’. The eggs come from the hen house on the farm so completely fresh!
In fact the food and wine is without doubt on of the reason to stay here. One thing to mentions is because they cook everything from fresh, they offer you a different lunch and dinner on each day, depending on what they buy freshly that day. After breakfast we were asked if we wanted to eat Lunch and/or Dinner that day, and we could choose and give them a time we would like to eat.
The days we didn’t eat there, we wished we had. The lunches we had were sumptuous salads, with lots of fresh bread. For dinner you were served 3 really large portions of home cooked Mallorcan dishes. Desserts were lovely and well presented. The wine we drank was from the vineyards overlooking the hotel and was very good and reasonable at £15 a bottle. On the last night we were server a free bottle by the owners to say thank you for staying. Make sure you ask to eat outside if you stay here as it’s a fantastic setting overlooking beautiful farmland.
The pool area is very scenic, apart from the pool being very swish you have sheep and donkeys walking nearby with their bells ringing, it makes you feel like you are deep in the countryside. The animals also kept our daughter entertained.
My daughter and I went on walks through the lemon and almond trees, and made friends with the resident dog and a friendly cat called Palomino who my daughter terrorised for week.
There is also a peacock colony close by and they regularly wondered onto the farmland.
The days we ventured out, we used our hire car to drive a few kilometres to local sandy beaches around Alcudia and Pollenca.
As you can gather we loved this place and feel really lucky to have found it.
If you want a real treat, stay here, as you will love it!!
