Description: Welcome to The Award Winning Farmer's Boy Inn Longhope Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After an evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter in front of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic Gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill

If you like top quality pies, in a cosy pub environment, washed down with a lovely ale - look no further!
Between the four of us we had steak with Guinness, one with Stilton, one with Brie and the Famous Fish pie. The 4th had ham, egg and chips which was a mountain of ham!
These pies are delicious

I have to say we went to The Farmers Boy last Sunday afternoon and we were really impressed with the food.

I am a big pie fan anyway and it did not dissapoint !! Also its a nice location for those sunny afternoons in the garden.

I would recommend this place is definatley worth a try !!!

The Farmers Boy has been transformed in recent years and now offers really good food and excellent service in very pleasant surroundings. They offer a varied menu but their speciality is pies - and very good they are too. All of our food was cooked to perfection. Prices are on the steep side for a pub but standards are very high.

Would we go back? - possibly - but the landlord is very passionate and 'hands on' about his business and makes you feel a tad uncomfortable. I can't imagine the scene should you have cause to make constructive criticism or heaven forbid complain!

We were driving home today, from our youngest son's rugby match, and stopped at this pub. What a fantastic place! Even though it's Mother's Day and they were VERY busy, the owner 'fell over himself' to accommodate us - and the staff were so friendly. The service was excellent and the food was perfect. We received all-round first-class service. My husband has already said that he and I must arrange it so that we can visit again (without the children) and stay overnight. THANK YOU so much to everyone for making our afternoon so special. Julie and Paul Rees
