Went for a family lunch, and had a very pleasant meal with friendly service, and well kept beer and cider. Portions were very generous and the place had a very nice rural pub atmosphere. Would definitely return.

A pub out the way in the middle of kind of nowhere. The menues looked bleak as they were covered in old plastic. BUT food was absolutely great and would recommend this to all.
Worth a visit. Service great.

Visited for Sunday lunch with family, pub was very busy ,but no problems with excellent service from efficient staff. The food & the real ales where excellent. Without doubt will be returning. Children under 14 not allowed which suited us.

Tried to pop in to this pub on a cold January day after an idyllic walk in the nearby hills. However we weren't even allowed inside as we had kids aged under 14 with us. My son is 8 and this is the first time we have ever been turned away from a pub. Surprising considering this area is a magnet for families.... Spoiled an otherwise perfect day....
