We stayed here for 1 night following a Sunday lunch a few months ago. Needless to say we were not disappointed! The room was lovely and it is dog friendly. The pub excelled itself again with delicious food and top quality customer service! We will definitely be back and have recommended this to all our friends and family.

we stayed here after seeing the pub on 4 in a bed, rooms are okay bathrooms and shower excellent apart from the mirror not over the sink, could have done with more tea and coffee, the food in the pub was excellent very good value for money, the pie and steak were delicious, can only fault the breakfast for 2 things, could do with teapots instead of the thermos that kept running out when you could use it, also when we asked for extra toast we had only had 2 tiny slices, we heard the cook moaning and when it appeared it was just greasy hot bread definitely not toast, at £89.95 a night for b and b the breakfast really let it down, would recommend the pubs food but not the b and b at these prices

We only stopped the one night but were made to feel very welcome by all your staff.
Excellent food, wine list a bit limiting for our taste. Room very nicely decorated and clean. It would have been nice if the radiators had been put on before we arrived. Lovely breakfast we hope to return!

We stayed for one night over Easter. The pub was very cosy and quaint and me and my partner both had one of the award winning pies, which were yummy and very filling! The only criticism of the bar was that the drinks were overpriced (£4.50 pint). Staff were all incredibly helpful and seemed very busy ensuring everyone was kept happy and that food was bought out quickly. Room was nice and the power shower was amazing! Would recommend to people who are looking for somewhere nice to stay for a night or two before exploring the surrounding areas.

Lovely cozy pub. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bedrooms nicely furnished, bathroom could do with a bit more character. My husband had the game pie which was very tasty but we felt it was a bit overpriced. The steak was sublime and very reasonably priced. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again, but in our opinion the constant marketing and feedback requests etc. was a bit in your face.

We stayed here on a wowcher 2-night break and even before we arrived we thought it was excellent value. We were even more pleased when we got there and the place was very warm and welcoming, and the staff very helpful and friendly. The room and facilities were well beyond our expections. Rooms are little chalets arranged around a courtyard and are well-appointed with en-suite, nice bright decor and a huge bed which was larger than king size. Everything was like new, the standard of cleanliness was so high. We enjoyed two perfectly peaceful night's sleep. Even though the main road passes by the front of the pub, there appears to be little or no traffic at night. The pub itself had a very relaxed atmosphere, it felt like being in your own local. It had a nice traditional feel, big open fire, candles to add a little magic, with nice cosy little corners to snuggle into. Breakfast was delicious. Good quality produce locally sourced and cooked to perfection. The location is handy for the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean, South Wales, Gloucester, Cheltenham and much more. The two days we had there were not nearly enough to enjoy all that this area has to offer. Whatever your interests are, some of this country's finest beauty spots, towns and ancient sites are within easy reach of The Farmer's Boy. Our only disappointment is that we didn't eat there in the evening as we were travelling around but we consoled ourselves by taking some pies home with us. We had one last night and it was very tasty - the pastry was the best I'd ever tried.
We would definitely stay there again when we are in that part of the country and would heartily recommend it.
