In a relatively secluded road, within an area that may take a day or 2 to fully familiarise yourself with the location of, sits Maison Fountainbleau. The first thing that strikes you about the location, is the very steep gradient of the sloping well-kept roads of Fresnaye, on the edge of Signal hill behind the busy streets of Sea Point. This feature alone would make the guest wiser to travel here by car only.

This location is very secure, offering road side or drive way parking if the guest prefers. The quality of the rooms is fantastic. An affordable option, it is great for either families or the single traveler, perhaps looking to wind-down after a few lively day and nights on Long Street. It is only a short cab ride back into town if you want to pick up where you left off, then return here for a comfortable nights sleep.

Highlights of this place were the beautiful view of Table Bay during breakfast, and the functionality of the wi-fi, which never had any problems whatsoever during my 4 day stay. Conversely, more than 5 other locations in which I have stayed had one or two wi-fi glitches, but none to be found here.

Sea Point is an area which offers many overpriced and disappointing hotels, but this guest house is money well spent. I will be staying for longer in future. Big thank you.

I have been this guesthouse for 9 days and for me it was the best.
The gueshouse owner (Denise) is very friendly and helps with everything you need.
If you want a nice relaxing surrounding, book here!

We were nicely accommodated even with our last minute planning which was great.
The place was very clean and nicely laid out, well maintained with modern finishes. Loaction is good being on a quiet street with easy parking and no road noise and ideal for access to Clifton/Camps Bay beaches, downtown CapeTown and the vineyards. Denise the owner was very pleasant and provided local knowledge for planning dinners and outings etc.
We will definitely consider using this accommodation again when we visit Cape Town.

Breakfast was basically continental buffet with an option of eggs .... consideration should be given to providing a full cooked breakfast.

We stayed a week at Maison Fontainbleu and loved every minute. The en suite room was spotless and breakfasts were fresh, healthy and substantial. Denise was on hand to give advice on sightseeing, help with bookings, and made us feel very welcome. We would certainly return again.

Decided to treat myself to an impulse trip to Miami and was able to find a decent rate at the Fontainbleau. Room was clean and had a a greatview. Service was speedy and hotel staff were especially accomodating. LOVED hanging at the pool and the beach. I rented a bed and umbrella on the beach which was such a luxurious set up. A small mixup with a food/drink order was swiftly fixed by the manager, Nekane, who made us feel like VIP guests. The hotel is in a great location of Miami, close to attractions yet not overwhelmingly crowded. Can't wait to come back!!
