What an amazing place to stay at! My hubby and I spent our honeymoon there last week and we absolutely loved it. Our Grande Girls - Amanda and Chrystal - you are amazing :-) Alec and Fisher - the kitchen chefs - super friendly and so accommodating! The rooms, the jacuzzi, the environment, all great! Thank you to you all for making our stay so memorable! We will definitely be back to visit!

Room Tip: Top floor sea view rooms - 303 is the best!

We were pleasantly surprised by the cosy atmosphere of this establishment. The rooms and hotel was very clean and the staff were super friendly. The only thing that I was not very used to is that the bathroom (toilet) is not completely divided from the bedroom. This was a bit uncomfortable and is difficult to get used to. The breakfast was delicious and the portion sizes was nothing but "light continental" Overall, very good value for money and is in the heart of Cape Town. I will definitely make use of this place again!!!

Staff:Very friendly, accommodating, available 24/7. Room303:large,clean with. Bathroom:large, clean, cold water with second shower. Room101:much smaller than 303. Both rooms:small, awkward desk and chair setup. Breakfast:great. Wifi and 3G reception bad downstairs-room 101. Nice chill lounge areas. Great location between Camps Bay and City. There does not seem to be enough parking for the 13 rooms in the Hotel. The positives outweighed the negatives and I would recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Thank you for your well received review. We appreciate your great feedback! With regards to location, we do agree that our location is excellent! The good news is that we are one of the only boutique hotels in the area with ample parking at 15 bays - Since your stay with us, we have upped our parking bay area from 12 to 15 bays.
Thank you once again for your positive review. We look forward to your stay with us in the near future.
Warm greetings,
The Grande Kloof Team

The room itself was clean and had enough space. The lack of fresh air was an issue though, no air-conditioning or openable patio/balcony doors. The location of the room meant that there was no privacy as it was at the main entrance. If we stayed here again I would book into a different room.

Dear Vernon
It was a pleasure to have you stay with us, and understandably the Argus Cycle timeframes leave little accommodation in Cape Town, especially so close to the main cycle routes. We would love to welcome you back to The Grande Kloof again, so that you may experience our top floor rooms, which have air-conditioning, wonderful sea, mountain, and residential views (yes, all three views from the patio areas on the top deck areas). We thank you sincerely for taking the time to review our establishment, and we will most certainly be investing in air-conditioning for our reception level room.
Our warmest regards,
The Grande Kloof Team

My wife and I required a relaxing weekend and that is exactly what we received from the Grand Kloof. The management & staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. Will definitely return!

So as per our booking this was meant to be a special evening due to it being our engagement night. We arrived to a cold lobby, no warm welcome after knowing we were coming through the gate the gentelman sat behind his desk and didnt even approach us in any way, after check in, we were taken to our rooms and was informed that the keys to open the sliding door he would br

We got to the room and wanted to order room service and was told that we would need to order it from Mr Delivery, but after going though the menu and options we realised we didnt have a phone in the room, so I went down to reception and placed the order. Mr Delivery took 1hour to get to us.

We then realised that our aircon doesnt work, no facecloths in the bathroom, a empty minibar with all the equipment, only rooibos tea in our coffee station and to top it off we were dieing from the heat as our aircon was not working.

Being in the industry myself, managing a 5*boutique hotel this is definately not of 4* calibre.

On our way out we informed the gentleman of these issues and he would address it but upon return, the room was still very hot, the facecloths were replenished but the fact still remains everytime you would like to order something seeing as the mini bars stay empty and do not get stocked anymore.... you would need to walk down to reception and order your beverages, where is the service in that?

I will say that we enjoyed our breakfast and that the staff were friendly, a bit slow and unorganised but overall okay.

I would definately not recommend this hotel.
