“Nature beauty at its best with Rain Country”

Excellent stay in Rain Forest during our Wayanad stay. Beautiful place. Access is bit difficult, but once reached the place, you will forget everything..Wayanad was actually not in our Kerala Plan. But once visited, we stayed here for 2 days with Rain Country. Great ambience of forest. Birds and Greenary everywhere always gives a pleasant mood. Nice food all times. Excellent management. We will come again for sure..

We had booked a wooden delux room with much speculations ....hwever ended up loving this place...could spend the whole day sitting on those easy chairs on the varanda facing the stream..literally in the middle of forest...Fresh air & green all around...This place looks much much better than in pictures..to top up all.. yummy food..What more you need? Really appreciate the way the food court is maintained...tidy & great ambience...On the lower side..considering this place is known for leeches & other insects..mngmnt should ensure effective house keeping of the rooms...may be mope the floor with dettol & keep some first aids in all the rooms..also bathrooms need to be more comfortable rather than the homely bathrooms...Also missing coffe kettle & intercom. Those who love nature can ignore all these..still, more.. the merrier...Overall great vacation.. tips 1)Go for wooden delux rooms 2) Plan to spend whole day within the resort & less sight seeing 3) Ask for complementary dinner as it's a task to get out of this place in late hours.. 4) DO NOT WALK ON THE GRASS else you end up being paranoid with leeches 5) Carry salt & some first aid 6) Right choice for nature lovers & wrong choice for small children & aged.

Room Tip: wooden deluxe rooms 1 , 2, 3,4

Road to paradise is a bumpy ride is the first thought that occurred in my mind as soonas i arrived in this resort. Despite a guttered and very narrow lane that stretches for a few kms from main road that a single vehicle can pass through at a time, we have arrived in heaven indeed. As it is located at a place that receives the highest rainfall in God's own country, it was pouring throughout our stay but never gave slightest feel of dullness or tiresome. Rooms are super clean and traditional structure of the cottages itself makes the stay pleasant. View from the roomis magnificent and spectacular as we were closer to the stream. Iam not sure about the provision for fishing nor did we try any ayurvedic massage but we bathed in the natural pool that was located close to our cottage. Room services were also good and on time. I wouldn’t recommend trekking to resort surroundings to people who are bothered by leeches as it was a leechy experience to us. Though we managed to get on top of a hill next to the resort, we were bitten by innumerable leeches and task to remove them was a task in itself. I loved the stay and definitely like to revisit to experience the serenity and magnificence of this place once again. Getaway to this place to disconnect and unwind.

Room Tip: Choose the wooden cottages close to the stream.

Such a poor service and a poor attitude of the people working there. Joemon is an arrogant guy,
Shajji gave us a plate of Grapes and he charged Rs.300!!!
They keep smiling throughout our stay, but at the time of checkout you understand that they are looting your money.Location is good.I got cheated just because of the location.Poor management and service.Highly not recommended.

I had stayed in this resort in the month of August and honestly I feel even though the resort is good and you will have a real feel of staying right in the forest with small streams running across the resort, snails, spiders, wooden cottage but I feel it is a bit overpriced. The food is really good and we enjoyed every meal here. One can enjoy the trek but just be careful of leeches. We stayed at deluxe wooden cottage which had TV and the non deluxe wooden cottage is right in front of the big stream but doesn't have TV. So if you are not into TV while on vacation I would recommend non deluxe wooden cottage only.

Things that the resort people can do better is provide clean bed sheets and towels as that was something we didn't like at all and really turned us down when we entered the room. We asked them to replace but the one replaced also were not clean enough.

Overall I will recommend this resort if someone really wants to be close to nature but at the price that one pays here I am sure better options are available in terms of cleanliness.

Room Tip: Non deluxe wooden cottage - It is in front of stream but no TV
