“Edakkal Caves”
Review of Edakkal Caves

This has a little bit of walking from the parking area. Then you need to climb up few rock steps and then the trek continues with steps counting close to 300. Cave carvings are very minimal.

Steep walk to see them. Some ladders at top as well. Markings on the cave walls were disappointing. Scenery around was nice

A little over a kilometre trek up, this place in the at the summit would be well worth the effort, along the way you will encounter friendly locals running stalls.

The caves was a 6000 year old shelter to a tribe you etched out some amazing geometric carving on the stones walls.

Later the place was used as a hermitage by some priests, who wrote Sanskrit in the Brahmi script. The ancient script of Veda's.

Nice Track. Huge cave at the top of mountain. The view from the top is ultimate.
Over all worth spending calories on this track. Won't recommend to people having health problem.
good thing is Plastic is banned, so please respect that.

It was a himalayan climb for us to get to the caves but in the end gives you a panoramic view of full range of mountains. Good safety measures deployed while going and coming down.
