We visited Wayanad during off season i.e. month of July when it was raining torrentially.

To start with, reaching Pepper Green Village is a strenuous task since it is located in a very tiny village. However, the manager of Pepper Green Village was on the phone with us throughout to help us reach our destination. Ultimately they picked us up in their tiny Maruti Suzuki 800.

Pepper Green Village is a fairly large and extremely green property. There are so many different plans and trees that the resort completely blends in with the scenic Wayanad.

We chose the treehouse room called Garlic which is a large room with a view of the paddy fields. The room has only white light which sometimes seems out of place in a tree house. The bathroom is a little small and could have done with additional amenities like a proper shower. There was only a handshower which doubled up as the overhead shower.

The room service was quick and the dinner was delicious and sufficient in quantity. It was adequately priced as well. However, the breakfast menu is extremely limited.

However, the room service does not involve tidying up your room in our absence, They do not even provide new towels on their own or change the bed sheets. For a resort charging this amount, it was completely unexpected.

While the staff was helpful most of the time. However, we had two bad experiences. One was the extremely long wait for any taxi to reach this place and second, was the bad negotiating skills of the staff with the taxi drivers, who ultimately overcharge us. The staff was unable to help us in this and considering that they were the ones to arrange the taxi driver, it was extremely disappointing that they disclaimed all responsibilities.

It is definitely a little expensive. They should definitely tone down the price.

Room Tip: The view is very important. So if possible, one should see the room before choosing.

We been to this place between 15Aug2013 to 17Aug2013 on a motercycle trip.

To our surprise excellent way to end your 350 km long riding. We six of us given ginger and garlic.

Excellent service from Nitin and Arun kudos to you guys great job!!

Mr. was very humble too.. good ppl make the experience better.

Good healthy homely food, limited menu but that makes it easier to decide :)

Definately visiting again!!!

Room Tip: If going on motorcycle avoid the Nagarhole jungle route.. 2 wheelers not allowed.. we had to do an extra 70km.

Myself with my Wife&6yr old child stayed in Cinnamon treehouse in September2012.
Plus points:1.Ambience is Very Good. 2.Though very caring & attentive, never intrusive in your privacy. 3.Breakfast & Dinner were good & hygenic though options were limited.(we did not take our lunch). 4.Surroundings are absolutely Natural with lushgreen fields, well grown trees & pindrop silence and calmness. 5.View from balcony into paddy fields is breath taking.
Negative Points:1.Food Menu has limited options. 2.T.V. didnot work on Thursday and was fixed only on next day. 3.Amount they charge for Night Safari by Jeep is Expensive. 4.Though the rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy, the surroudings were not properly maintained with lot of cobwebs and dust(perhaps they clean only in weekends). 5.Some places of interest like Phooket lake,Menamutty falls,Banasura dam are far. 6.Kuruva Island was closed at the time of our visit which is the only place of interest to see near the resort. 7.The Kabani river which some reviews claimed to be adjacent to the resorts and worth watching is 100%false and is only a small muddy canal. 8.The last lap of the road is very pathetic.
Inspite of these neg.points if you are a nature lover, wanting just to relax in absolute peace and calmnessaway from the maddening city climate with palatable and hygenic food this is THE PLACE for you.If you travel from Bangalore take the Hunnur-Nagahole route and you will pass through the beautiful Wild life Sanctuary(enter it before 4 P.M for best veiwing of elephants, deers, bysonns monkeys etc.) and you neednot waste your precious time and money again for night safari.

Room Tip: Cinnomon is perfect for breath taking view of paddy fields

I was lucky to get a place in Stevia cottage. Had heard good things about this place and so wanted to try and did try it out. The cottages are excellent in looks, space and natural feel. See the pics - they speak for this place. Don't forget to just take a 1 minute walk behind the resort as there is a cool river with mist moving in the morning hours. I would definitely come back to stay here again. There is guy named Nitin who was very helpful. You need to be a little careful when you book a cottage as there are reports of rats getting in during night. However, a proactive information regarding it to the management helps as they ensure no rat gets in or else they have to waive off the room charges - which they did to my frend couple who spotted rats moving in during the night :) Overall a RELAXING EXPERIENCE.
