It was a weekend getaway. Though the place was not as green as expected(due to non-rainy season), a drizzle n a small rain welcomed us. Good location, pleasant weateher, descent cottages and neat service are the tings that i liked the most. food was good, quick service. Cottages are well designed and were comfortable. for a family or a gang of friends to spend a weekend away from traffic n city life, this would be ideal. ;) its located in the middle of a Pepper plantation where u can see birds chirping and cool breeze all the time. Silent n calm environment, Snooker and Table tennis and yummy Kerala cuisine were my fav in the trip.

If you go there, it is to discover another India. The place is great, getting around is fantastic. This hotel is much expensive for what they have to offer. It is not dirty but not clean. They ask you if they have to clean the room and they don't really know how to manage with non indian tourists (most tourists there are Indians).
The food was great.
They speak so little english that it's difficult to express what you want.

We went for a New Year's vacation and loved every minute there. Our largely bamboo finished cottage sat up in the trees amidst jackfruit, pepper vines, and abundance flowers. We spent delightful early mornings and evenings sitting on our balcony overlooking rice paddies and the river. Our room was both rustically romantic and clean (no bugs).

The service was warm and enthusiastic. The food was good. For New Year's there was a large spread and on other days they catered to our preferences, even treating us to a delicious tribal dish that the locals prepare.

The grounds were lush and beautifully laid out, with a path leading to the nearby river. The bamboo walkway was both charming and offered lovely views of the different aspects of the gardens. We sat there to watch and exciting and visually rich local dance performance on New Years Eve.

We really enjoyed walking through the adjacent rice paddies and plantations to Kuruva Island, to which we were transported on a bamboo barge. The island is a nature reserve full of huge old trees, vines and medicinal herbs. Well worth spending several hours there.

The resort manager arranged a car one evening to take us to a 5,000 year old temple (worth seeing by day), and both coming and going we saw elephants roaming free in the forest., since the road passed through one of the wildlife reserves. That was unforgettable. The local roads to Pepper Green are very bumpy but well worth the trek.

We booked this Resort for New Year. We stayed 2 days in Pepper Green Resort (31st Dec & 1st Jan). We stayed in Cassia Tree house. Its really a nice experience. My Son and wife enjoyed a lot. Very kind people in the Resort. Manager Nithin and the employees in the Resort were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very neat and comfortable. Outside full greenish and it was mind blowing experience. Really superb!!!.

First of all - Waynad is a great place. All the natural beauty of western ghats has been captured by Waynad. This resort is just 90 KM from Mysore. The drive is great except for the last stretch. You are bound to see some wildlife on your way. The resort is clean and basic - the service stands out. Food is of good quality and great value for money. We were pure vegetarians hence had some problems with the smells. The resort has great things for children - rabbits, fish, birds. It is right next to the river and a 2 km walk from Kuruva island which is a great island by the way. They also has traditional Kerala shows every evening - Pottan Thara I think (very exotic). The room (garlic) that we were staying overlooked a field - my son had an opportunity to see the entire harvest process. They also arrange for messages at another close by Ayurvedic resort - that was great too.
