1 review Christmas Cottage is a beautifully presented cottage with everything you need for a relaxing break.There is a small garden area to sit in and plenty of parking. David is a fantastic host and has put a lot of attention to detail in the cottage.Blakeney is a good base with good restaurants/ takeaways, a village shop that stocks almost everything,good walks close by & the Forest of Dean on the doorstep. We will definitely return.

On arrival we were met by the owner who had generously provided fresh milk, tea an coffee for a much needed drink after a long journey. The cottage was comfy and tastefully decorated and the only thing we felt was missing was either a coffee table or nest of tables on which to place drinks when lounging. This is not a complaint but rather a suggestion as everything you could need was provided. The sitting out space was small but perfectly adequate and the car parking was adjacent. The actual forest was just a short walk away and it was easy to get to other places by car.
If I was visiting this area again I would have no hesitation in staying in Christmas Cottage. Thanks David

We stayed here for five nights as a family plus the dog! The cottage is finished to a high standard and was very comfortable with all mod cons including wifi etc.
We tried the village fish and chip shop and the Italian restaurant, both of which were very good.
We also went on some fantastic walks straight from the cottage around Blakeney Village and also in the Forest of Dean. Highly recommend visiting Lydney Harbour, Mallards Pike and the Sculpture Trail.
We felt very at home at Christmas Cottage and were sad to leave! Will definately be rebooking soon!!

Christmas Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. The local shop, restaurants and pubs mean everything is a short walk from the front door. The beautiful Forest of Dean is only minutes away too. We hope to be back soon for a longer stay.
