We camped in aug for a week the place is fab and only a few niggly complaints ...same cheesy kids entertainment could do with updating ...the wasps were evil scared kids alot but not hobornes fault...softplay restaurant area always dirty ...but these are slight complaints as the pools were faband soft play area kids loved the pedalos and nice walks around lakes x evening drinks massively overpriced saw alot of families pouring own drinks under the pushchairs!! Cant say i blame them supposed to be aimed at families! X kids loved the characters thy stayed on stage for fab long time ;) x dissapointed with bingo ..yet again! Kids seem to be hushed and shushed by 8.15 for bingo why not entertain kids til 9? Then adults x shop well stocked but really expensive and never any bread!! X overall if u self cater cheaper and have active kids this is the place nice paths for bikes and pool and soft play and disco x will return ...ignore people who say toilets r dirty yes u will get grass etc in shower if people walk in there u wont die!! X

Overall this is a good family campsite with plenty to do. It doesn’t offer the wow factor and could do with a little tidying up, however we did enjoy our stay.

Tent pitches are large with a separate hard standing area for your car, however pitches are quite close together. I would recommend taking ear plugs as it was quite noisy throughout the night. Also wardens are circulating the park so are available if you need any help or advice.

Plenty of amenity blocks which are clean (most of the time) and have separate cubicles for showers and sinks. Pot washing area is outside under a Leanto. Plenty of bins however didn’t see any recycling bins.

Well stocked shop, however if you can’t find what you are looking for, there is a supermarket about 10 minutes away.

Two playgrounds for the kids, one with a sand pit and playing field.

Indoor pool has plenty of lifeguards, a flume and Toadstool water umbrella. We enjoyed the pool very much, however it could definitely do with a lick of paint. Although the changing area seemed to be washed down and mopped on a regular basis by the lifeguards, the actual poolside wasn’t and I spotted several dirty plasters and grime.

My daughter and I spent approx. 1.5 hours at the outside pool, which we really enjoyed however the table that we were next to was covered in wasps, as nobody had bothered to clear and clean it the whole time we were there.

Small indoor play area for the kids however the sitting area was a bit messy with food and empty pots.

The coffee is charged at £1.30 and it tasted pretty much like instant coffee even though there appeared to be a coffee machine.

The entertainment guide has lots to offer even during the day. The team are good but seemed to forget their focus and lacked enthusiasm occasionally, especially during the daytime shows. In my opinion, If you are entertaining children I don’t think it’s really acceptable to be bragging about hangovers and unhealthy diets etc

Kids entertainment starts at 6 and on our visit we regretted not arriving earlier as we were unable to get a seat. Our kids loved Sammy Seahorse, Larry Lobster and Tommy Turtle and soon picked up their easy to learn songs. The entertainment team involve the kids, which was great, however they did seem to select the same kids.

Annoyed that you have to check out at 10am and the only way you can stay longer is if you paid for an extra night. Struggled to understand why we were unable to pay a small charge to have a slightly later check-out. This is the first time I have been to campsite that doesn’t offer this service 

If you fancied a treat rather than cooking yourself, I would definitely recommend The Boathouse Pub adjacent to the Cotswolds Water Park Hotel on B4696 for Sunday Lunch. (5 mins away from Hoburne)

Also as we didn’t have time for breakfast due to the early check out, we visited a café called Relish on the way home which is located next to the Cotswolds Outdoor Store also on B4696 which was yummy.

Stayed in August lovely location, we were in a tent and our pitch was excellent lots of space.
camping/touring area's are very clean, shower blocks (women"s block no 2) were ok, they ran out of toilet paper, water pressure in shower's, they had no pressure when other ones were being used, issue with the plumbing.
Mens shower's, block no 2 clean, the same issue with showers though no pressure when others are being used. My advice is use block no 3 as they are bigger and do not lose pressure, these blocks are in the Reed Meadows.
As for the crazy golf and tennis courts no problem other than you can not pre book tennis which I think you should be able to do as it is only £4 per hour, if you pay and don't turn up it's your loss.
The indoor pool was cold not heated very well, the slide the kids loved, did not use the out door pool, but did see that there was an incident, and the staff then walked through the indoor pool area and the snack bar area in wellies, goggles, gloves, mask and overalls which I think they should of walked around the outside of the building as chemicals were involved, not impressed!!!
Lots of wasps around the whole site and in the so be warned also in the club house bar area.
Bar staff friendly, bar prices seamed to change so keep an eye on the prices, especially if you are drinking squash at £1-90 a pint, was not impressed by the older barman helping him self to the peanuts on the bar with his bare hands. (hygiene is an issue there) hence we did not purchase any peanuts.
Lots of wildlife in the clubhouse side which the bingo is played wasps and spiders, in need of a spring clean, to get to the out door bar area which is obviously only cleaned once a day mess everywhere( have photo to prove) the sliding doors were very hard to open some did not open at all. Saturday night band were awful not worth the watchFreddie on the other hand got better as the night went on (Friday). Be careful if you have children in the bar area as one evening they had Natural Born Killers on the tv which is an 18 cert but you can take children in the bar area.
other than that kids loved there week away including the evening entertainment which is as always very cheesy but very good. Needs to be tweaked a bit to get me to up our rating.

Room Tip: touring pitches are all good no complaints

Camped here last weekend, have to say that the camping facilities were very good with nice clean easy access toilet/shower blocks. The wardens were a bit ott but guess they were doing their jobs.
The only gripes I have were with the pool staff and in the clubhouse. Some one had a poo in the outdoor pool, now being an ex pool life guard I know the procedure for cleaning the pool after an accident. You do not carry buckets of acid through a public area, where there is food ! , then proceed to throw them willy nilly in the pool !! And it should have been closed for 24hrs not the two that it was. A bit of staff retraining I think?.
With reguards to the bar/clubhouse I feel that £1:94 for a glass of squash wss way over the top, when questioned the barstaff said it wad 34p fot the cordial which means £1:60 for a glass of water!. Trying to get served takes ages although praise for the young lady serving as she never stopped smiling and being polite. The main gripe I had with the room where the entertainment was, was that it was quite dirty , I am arachnaphobic and the place was covered in cobwebs with huge spiders in them which detracts from the entertainment when you are constantly watching where the eight legged gits are!!. A simple hoovering would solve this.

We went to hoburne Cotswolds for a 5 night camping holiday in august. Over all the campsite was good for families ,and there was plenty to do all day for children. But more so if your children are under 8 years old. But unfortunately there was also some cons as well as pros to this holiday. The pros to this holiday was the pitch sizes that were very good and the amenities blocks were very clean, the friendly reception and bar staff, nice meals in the restaurant, and fairly priced. Good swimming pools, good tennis court, and nice crazy golf area and a good shop on sight too, also my son liked the games room. The cons to this holiday was THE RULES, no photos to be taken in outside pool area which I was told very rudely by life guard poor people skills, poor customer service at the takeaway area. Having to queue 20 minutes to order your evening meal with only one member of staff serving, then having to queue again in bar area to get your drinks, the restaurant bar and entertainment room is all open planned so if you just wanted to have an evening meal and a quiet drink or two after you still had to listen to the very repetitive children's entertainment which went on for 2 hours every night, bingo is not allowed to be played in bar area so if you cant find a seat in the entertainment area then your stuffed. Over all a good holiday but could have been so much better...

Good site, very well kept, plenty off staff busy all day, outdoor swimming excellent well heated, only negatives I have is the club house is not that big so in high season you have trouble finding a spare table. The showers are not that good they are very low pressure and fixed in postion so not user friendly for small children, a big negative for me was the amount of mosquitos in the toilets! Surely this is an easy fix for park staff but everyday they were still there!
