Our Company had a 2 day meeting here with about 25 of us!
Facilities were excellent, food was delicious and plentiful, service was very good too.
Bedrooms were of very high standard with great views of the lakes
Staff are very friendly and attentive and nothing is too much for them!
Great venue for conferences or for leisure breaks...

Room Tip: Ask for one overlooking the lakes

Great escape for a weekend break, nice and clean hotel (however the bathtub had a deep scratches with made the bath unpleasant). Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. There were many guests and families with children, but the hotel didn't feel crowded as the organisation was superb. Very nice swimming pool facilities, however could be bigger for such a large hotel. Unfortunately weather didn't let us to do many outdoor activities, but probably worth coming back during the summer.

Room Tip: book a lake view room

We stayed that this hotel for a Masonic Ladies Festival. My first impression upon entering the foyer was Oh Dear what a crowded place. It was crowded but this did not spoil the nights festivities .We were well provided for and the service was excellent .
Our room was spacious and well appointed although I was disappointed with my bed which was too narrow and I suspect quite a cheap purchase .
Breakfast was excellent the staff were courteous and very helpful.
Would we stay again? Yes.

A last minute night away to escape from work...and it really was relaxing! We booked a Connoisseur room overlooking the lakes, which included dinner and breakfast - which we worked out to be quite a bargain including the use of the spa facilities. The view from the room was beautiful, even with driving rain when we arrived, and snow when we awoke in the morning...I imagine sitting there on the balcony on a lovely summer evening with a glass of the complimentary wine would be gorgeous - and aim to do so later this year, as the experience we had at this hotel was great. The hotel highlight when pool, restaurant and breakfasts get busy, allowing people to avoid peak times if preferred - this is a nice touch. The spa area itself is lovely; it was busy when we used it, but has a large sauna (not the usual garden shed effort), and steam-room, which can accommodate several at a time (steam room does need a little tile maintainence). The room was spacious, quiet, lovely bedding, good size towels, a good range of toiletries and coffee and tea. The restaurant meal was lovely - and we were able to pick from both menus. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and attentive service. Staff are really caring and considerate - a lovely couple with a fractious two year old were given plenty of help and attention, allowing them to enjoy their meal - and I noticed when they left her drinking beaker behind, staff were quick to make sure it was taken to their room. After one night I feel as though I have had a long weekend break. Well done to the staff and hotel for that : )

Room Tip: The room we had over the lake was lovely - 311

Many of our guests use the hotel as a last minute night away to escape from work.
We are pleased this guest found the hotel relaxing! Enjoying one of our Connoisseur rooms overlooking the lake.

As our guests mentions, we have done our best to identify peak periods throughout the hotel when some of our facilities may be busier than at other times.

We thank them for their observations of our bedrooms and Spa facilities as well as the menu choices in our brasserie.

My girlfriend and I booked two nights on the 9th/10th March for my birthday. We spotted a deal on Travelzoo which looked great value. A double room for 2 nights, free entry for the Cotswolds Widelife Park, a la carte for the first night with a bottle of wine and use of the spa throughout our stay.

We arrived and collected our free voucher for the Cotswolds Wildlife Park at about midday. And returned to check in about 5pm. The staff were really friendly whilst checking in, and we ventured upstairs to our room. We were fortunate enough to have a room backing onto the lake. The views were really good, surprising for a hotel right next to a motorway.

We ate from the A la carte menu the first night.. I couldn't fault the food, we were also allowed to use our £16.95 wine voucher on spirits from the bar as my girlfriend and I are not big wine drinkers.

Our nights sleep were very comfortable and we weren't disturbed. Breakfast was amazing. There was so much choice I couldn't resist having two fry ups!! The only thing I would say is that breakfast was advertised up until 10.30am, we went down at ten past thinking that the food would remain out after this time. But at about 10.35am the food had all been cleared away. So a note to any perspective guests, if you can polish off multiple fry ups then allow yourself plenty of time!!

We went down to the spa on the second day. It all seemed really professional however the pool was a bit too cold. Also, one of the seats in the sauna could do with a bit of maintenance. The floor under the seats were a bit grubby as well. Wasn't much of a problem, just highlighting it.

On the last night I wanted to chill a bottle of bubbly I had brought with me, as there was no fridge I asked at the bar for a bucket of ice and glasses, the barmaid didn't hesitate with my request. Top marks there!!

Check out was really simple, we were allowed to sign a card and drop it in the box at reception, rather than queue up. So if you get the chance to check out this way, don't feel too rushed to vacate for 11am as they seemed fairly relaxed with check out times.

Thanks for a great stay. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for a night, the hotel was lovely and clean but I have a few points you should know:
- the hotel is massive with about 700 rooms, and I got lost several times trekking to reception. There are a few buildings joined to eachother, so request a room near reception if you can.
- steam room was great, sauna was pretty much cold. Pool was nice but definitely a spa pool and not one to do lengths.
- service in the bar and restaurant was terrible, not accommodating an extra 2 people at dinner and forgetting things in the meals, forgotten drinks in the bar and very dirty glasses.
- the duvets are very thin so I requested an extra one, which took ages to get to my room after 3 phone calls down to reception.
- rooms were lovely and clean though, great bed.
- no bath in my room. Not sure about the rest of the hotel.

Whilst we thank our guest for noting the positive elements of their stay, we are sorry for any issues that they encountered during their stay.

Having already addressed these issues as noted by our guest in their completed feedback questionnaire at the hotel, we are confident that any relevant areas of concern have been immediately addressed.

The hotel currently offers 318 guest rooms from standard en-suite rooms, connoisseur rooms, connoisseur rooms with balcony and 1 or 2 bedroom ‘self-catering’ apartments.

We picked the hotel as part of a Travelzoo weekend break. It was located fairly close to the Cotswolds but still a drive to places like Bourton, Morton and Stow. The surrounding areas were very pleasant, Ashton, Cricklade, Bibury and Cirencester. The weather was not the best for walking but there were some nice walks around the lakes and water parks. Also plenty to do in the way of water sports, if you like this. The hotel was huge but very clean. Our room was a standard room, en suite, suite on the ground floor, over looking the water. Various ducks and swans. Room was spacious for a standard room. Very clean. Only issue was the bathroom door shut loudly on a spring hinge and you could hear others shutting during the stay. Friendly and helpful staff, made us feel welcome. Food very good and 1st night's meal included in the deal, with free bottle of wine. 2nd night we ate next door at the Boathouse, again very pleasant and food excellent. Visited Cotswolds wildlife park as part of the deal, worth a visit. Used the pool at the hotel and steam room and hotel bar, facilities very good. Would recommend a visit although there are some extension works currently, so may be in a few months. Also outdoor shop and cafe nearby worth a visit. The cafe excellent value for money.
