“Very comfortable and homely place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2013

I spent a week here just recently and found everything very pleasant. The proprietors were very friendly and knowledgeable and the room was just right - comfortable and spacious. Again, the cakes provided were a lovely touch. Breakfast was just right and kept me going until beyond lunch, including days when I was out cycling. The location is ideal for seeing the Forest of Dean and other lovely places in the Wye Valley. Excellent value for money.

Room Tip: I had a very nice twin room which faced the garden, which was nice and quiet.

We stayed at the White House a couple of weekends ago and had a lovely 'mini-break' in the Forest of Dean. The B&B was excellent: the owners very friendly, the room was attractive, clean and comfortable and best of all, fresh cakes were left for us each afternoon! We had a fun afternoon rockclimbing and another canoeing at Symonds yat, which is a really pretty place a couple of miles up the road. We'd really recommend the area for somewhere a bit different with lovely scenery and lotsof activities.
