“Great little find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

I was already in Nai Harn and was in need of nicer accommodations. I saw the alphabeto online and decided to walk in to check out the hotel and within 15 minutes i was booking a pool access room. I stayed here for 4 nights. The pool was perfect, and the location was good for me as it was within walking distance to a training camp I was attending. Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable, staff friendly. Even the other guests were friendly and social which is always nice when traveling solo.

I didn't eat at the restaurant, but there are lots of options nearby. I highly recommend A Spoon Full of Sugar right across the street for a great cup of coffee. (Try the mocha magic)

If you want beach access, it's best to rent a scooter as it is a bit of a walk. The beach itself was perfect.

Room Tip: Pick the pool access by the walkway, the rooms get more sun, and the area outside the rooms are a li...

Alphabeto resort is just a cute little hotel with nice design and very nice detail of how the pool comes up to some rooms. Half of the rooms have that option.

The staff was very nice and for us the best part of this hotel was the location. You are close to Nai Harn beach as well as Kata Noi. There are several places to eat and we absolutely could not have been in a better place.

Definitely far away from hectic Phuket but close to beauty!

The Hotel shower always got the bathroom a little wet but who cares anyways.
The A/C hits you directly on the bed so it was tricky to control the temparature and strength.

We enjoyed our stay and I personally loved swimming in that long skinny pool.

Room Tip: There is no A/C unit noise but make sure you set it correctly at night for it to blow gently and not...

i stayed for a e week it s a very modern hotel with an amazing swimming of 50 meters long (many deckchairs) ,with very confortable room and modern bathroom room were clean everyday and providing 2 bottles of water free ,high speed internet acces from the room the hotel is difficult to find so print the map find in the website for your taxi driver. The closest beach , nai harn , is quite far ( 3 km ) the best is to rent a motor bike at the hotel or at the shop just beside the reception is not really efficient and seems not understand well english but , nevertheless helpfull and smilly if you like french bakery near the pound at nai harn beach a french bakery provide excellent "pain au raisin" and "pain au chocolat" (open at 7.30 am)

Room Tip: deluxe with pool acces

I stayed at this hotel for one night and booked through agoda as there was a flash deal and I got a room at a very decent price.

Pro:
- Modern unique room design and layout.
- Clean comfortable room
- Hard to find but conveniently located

Stayed in a superior pool view room on the second floor and was impressed by the design of the furniture of the room especially the bed frame which was basically a big cement block. The lighting was cool as well as there was a switch to turn on the blue lights on the ceiling. The bed was very comfy and I had a great nights sleep. As well, its located near a good mix of restaurants ranging from delicious cheap local restaurants, touristy all you can eat buffets, health food restaurants and gyms as well as cafes. Its also located near a few scooter rental shops which is very convenient and highly recommended as nai harn beach is not exactly within walking distance. There are also many massage parlours nearby for the weary and basic snacks and beverages for sale in the lobby for munchers. The hotel was initially hard to find (at least it was for me), I passed by twice on the scooter before seeing the Alphabeto sign in yellow which, in my opinion, does not match with the rest of the hotel at all.

Con:
- Construction next to hotel
- Pool was sleek but boring
- Mosquito buffet at the sun lounger area
- Mediocre service with a smile

First of all, I'm not entirely sure if its construction next door as there was no sound but it was a bit unsightly. Its not a big deal though as you only see it on the side while walking to rooms on the second floor. The pool looked very cool as it was one long strip in the middle between the pool access rooms but I couldn't help but feel it lacked "atmosphere" which spread towards the rest of the hotel. It was a long strip of water where you couldn't do much but really sit/stand there. It wasn't exactly built for swimming either because there are kids and other guests playing in the middle. There are sun loungers at the back next to the pool as well. they are situated next to some bushes which may have attracted all the flies and mosquitoes who wouldn't leave me alone while I was trying to read and relax. Perhaps I was unlucky. When I first arrived at the hotel, I was mistakenly assigned a room which housekeeping hadn't cleaned yet so I waited outside the room while the receptionist went back to grab another pair of room keys. The room I was assigned had a big cobweb in the washroom (but no spider) so I don't know if it was unused for a while. Although the room switch wasnt a big deal, it could have easily been avoided but mistakes happen. The service was not bad but it wasn't great. Service came with a smile but did not exactly feel warm.

Conclusion:
The architecture and modern design of the room alone is worth trying if you stay here during a promotion. If not, then perhaps you should reconsider other options nearby.

Booked this hotel via Agoda in Superior Pool View (2nd floor). Love the design, cleanliness and very quiet ... I was so relaxed. There are restaurants, convenient stores, Car/Bike for rent, Sauna and beach is not that far but not walkable. Best to rent vehicle coz taxi service is expensive.
Staffs were nice and friendly especially the young boy reception, very active and service mind.
Breakfast area had some flies. Kitchen staffs turned on their music very loud.
Kitchen opened at 8.30 am, quite late if plan to go out early (i think its ok to not purchase breakfast coupon).
Overall I love this place coz its quiet, clean and comfortable + modern design.

The hotel design and architecture is interesting. The plot of land on which its built is long and narrow, so there are 2 long rows of rooms, with a very long rectangular pool in the middle. The lower level rooms open directly onto the pool; interesting concept unless there are people swimming by your room or kids splashing and you want a lie in! If you open your curtains , you might be looking directly at a swimming guest - an odd arrangment. The hotel design tries for that modern, white, minimalist / cubist look - it sort of partially suceeds in this. The location is off main road, and very quiet and the rooms boast some of the most comfortable beds ever. The rooms are spacious, and modern, a full sized tub and separate shower is lovely. However in my room ,wate surged, so it alternated between ice cold and very hot! there is a flat screen tv, however its very tiny and mounted on wall far distance from the bed. The hotel is unfortunately quite a distnace from either Nai Harn or Rawai beach; not walkable. You need a car or motorbile to stay here as taxis are B 400 return from either beach. Davinci , a popular Italian Restaurant is a 3 min walk down the road from the hotel, Worth a stay if you get online discounted price, but probably not for full price. The staff was unattentive and not very useful or friendly.

Room Tip: if you dont want to face out directly onto the pool and risk opening your curtains on a swimmer, bo...

Wow was my first reaction when I arrived. Kung greeted me and took me to my room while the gardener guy came to reception to take bags. I booked a Deluxe Pool Access room and was very happy. The room and pool were even better than the photos I'd seen.

The layout created a friendly atmosphere and I met many wonderful people during my stay. It was very neighbourly. The room itself was large, clean and beautiful with a couple of chairs outside and steps directly into the pool which was large and always clean.

Locally there were bars, restaurants, massage parlours, a nightclub, convenience stores, laundry places and gyms. My favourite gym being Phuket Raw, where you could do a class and then get a great organic smoothie, green drink or raw vegan meal. An excellent idea if you are going for dinner in some of the great restaurants, then drinking until dawn in the nightclub after shooting some pool in one of the many bars. Everywhere is relaxed though, you don't get people hassling you all the time like in Patong, but its only 20 minutes away (£10 in a taxi) if you want to experience madness!!

Overall, a brilliant hotel, lovely staff, good area and a great pool. Small and friendly.

I got charged £4 on check-out for an ashtray that I broke. I've never had to pay for such minor damage in a hotel, and would understand that some customers not like these policies, but I did break it and their policy was clearly stated in the folder in the room. So fair enough, and I wouldn't give this hotel less than full marks because of a few quid.

(Almost) perfect!

Room Tip: All of the rooms I saw were great. You get more sun on the side of the pool with the rooms numbered...
