We have just returned from the most incredible 2 week holiday at a stunning Villa in Percy, France. It had 6 very large bedrooms which were all beautifully done up. The house and garden were huge and spacious and very clean. The owners have truly thought of everything to make sure their guests do not want for anything... from entertainment for our 3 young kids, aged 6, 10 and 11 years old, to every possible utility you could need! The kitchen is fully stocked with every electrical machine you could want you truly feel at home. There was table tennis, Netflix, Xbox, junglegyms, trampolining, a football goal with footballs, bicycles, books... the list goes on! Our kids were constantly entertained and it helped that we had friends with us. With 10 people staying in one house we didn't even know each other were there as we had so much space to do our own things....
Not only could you spend all day entertained at the villa but it is so centrally placed that we were able to go to all the attractions in the area with such ease. We visited mont-st-mishel castle, alligator bay, Utah beach, the D-day museum, Granville centre and a stunning beach nearby the city center, our favourite outing was the parc animilier montagu la Brisette which was so reasonable and the kids loved it! We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely return to this beautiful place again!
Shopping was a 10 minute drive to Percy to the intermarche or a bit further to the bigger shop called "casino".
Thank you so much to the owners for letting us stay in your beautiful villa we would love to come back one day to your stunning town it was definitely a holiday we will remember forever.
We highly recommend this place to anyone who wishes to go to France both with or without children you will love it
A wonderful house in a wonderfully peaceful location. I have just spent a marvellous week at La Basse Seroudiere. The first thing is the house, the pictures really do not do it justice. The standard of the house is superb. Everything I wanted was there; from the welcome pack to the adapter plugs. The rural location meant it was so peaceful and relaxing I was truly able to unwind while there. That was when I wasn’t sightseeing at the Mont-Saint-Michel, Utah beach, L’abbey at Hambye, Vire, Danin, Villedeau-les-Pooles or eating out at the many glorious restaurants and snack bars.
Easily one of the nicest properties we have stayed in during our many visits to France. Combining the character and quirkiness you would expect from an old farmhouse with all mod cons, made for a delightful and extremely comfortable stay.
Our arrival was welcomed with a choice of wine, cold beers in the fridge and a selection of local bread and cheeses, which was a lovely and unexpected touch.
Our three young kids delighted in the choice of 6 bedrooms although, invariably, all ended up sleeping soundly together in one of the large double beds. With a view of rolling countryside from every window, waking in the morning only to the sound of birds singing and cows mooing just adds to the sense of peacefulness and tranquillity of the location.
The local village catered well for all our shopping needs with the house itself being a great base for exploring the wider Normandy area. On the odd day when the weather wasn't on our side, the host of games, books, dvd player and TV with full range of English programmes and film channels made chilling out around the house all day the ideal option. Cosying up with the kids (and a glass of wine) in front of the wood burner was lovely too.
All in all a beautiful house and family crowd pleaser.
