Had a beautiful week here at this lovely, relaxing site. A gorgeous setting with a great indoor pool area and good beaches a short drive away. We stayed in a Keycamp caravan which was absolutely fine. Fresh baguettes / croissants available from the shop each morning and a good value take-away on site. Our only criticism was there were limited spaces available in the kids club which is a real shame as the lady running the kids club was so nice. Don't expect a full on, activity packed site - this is a traditional, relaxing site with no disco's, etc. We have 3 children under 10 and it was great for them with loads of space to run and play, free bouncy castles, play area, free fishing lake etc. I would guess that older children may find it a little dull, but is was just right for us. We will be returning next year !!

Excellent quite campsite. Great pool once the kids got use to wearing swimming costumes and not swimming shorts. Loads of places to visit locally ie: the zoo, aquarium and small theme park all good value for money especially the zoo. My eldest is 14 and youngest 8 and both loved it. Bar closes at 9.00 but we found this just gave us more quality time with the boys, which is what holidays are for and it also gave us the chance to open a couple bottles of great cheap wine from the supermarket. Great walks close by for evening strolls or bike rides, and I am not the most enegetic of people!!!! Really good fishing on the lake a great place to relax and eat an alfresco lunch. We took the train from Granville to Paris and this was a long day but well worth the effort and what an experience getting around on the French Train system we had a great laugh together. Local super market was really good as was the on site shop and we did more bbq than we thought we would. Granville has some great restraunts and the local fish is amazing. There is a local laundrette for some mid week washing which I found handy as I dont usually do washing while I am away but it was an overcast sort of day and as its next to the supermarket we just put it in the machine whilst we shopped! I loved this site and its location we will be going back again just to finish off the bits we couldnt fit in this time.

We have just returned from a 2 week motorhome holiday in France, Chateau de Lez-Eaux was one of are stops. The campsite has excellent facilities for younger families and caters very well for young children, but for older families I found campsite not to be that good for such things finding some thing different to eat instead of chicken and simple food, made worse that the campsite is located a long way from any town. The washing/toilet facilities were very clean and were moderately modern. The pitch are motorhome was on was average, it had electric hook-up and water source. Overall an average campsite, nothing very special.

We have just returned after staying 8 nights in our tent on a comfort pitch. This is probably the best campsite we have stayed on and we have been to a few over the years!

The location and campsite is excellent with plenty to entertain our young kids. Facilities are very clean and well maintained.

The shop has a limited selection but there is a supermarket about 5 minutes drive up the road. Fresh bread etc is available from the shop each morning. There is a take away which was surprisingly good especially if you arrive late and are trying to set up camp in the dark!

There is a bar that stays open reasonably late but isn't too loud or rowdy. During our stay there was live music on two nights which we could hear from the porch of our tent whilst enjoying a glass of the local wine, perfect.

Swimming pool and play areas are good. Quiet roads and tracks near by for running and cycling.

All in all a great site, although it should be noted that the weather was very good and often puts a more positive outlook on things. We have been so impressed that we are already talking about camping there again next year!

One minor critism (and it is minor), whilst the washroom/toilets are very clean and cleaned regularly throughout the day, there is no hand soap so be sure to take some with you!

Relaxing for us as the kids aged 7&9 made friends and gave us time to relax. We took our own tent which was brilliant value and the drive from Calais was straightforward. We arrived on a Wed and left on a Sat so the drive back was busier and we will avoid weekend travelling next time.

We stayed with our 3 kids at one of the campsite's standard 2 bedroom chalets. The chalet itself was well equipped, we ended up in one converted for disabled (which we had not requested) - they said it gave us more room (I think the bathroom and one bedroom were bigger but the veranda is much smaller as the footprint is the same as the standard chalet). As we are a family of 5 we decided this was fine.
We used the washers and dryers and I would say that the cleanliness of the toilet and showering facilities for camping are v. good (as you'd expect from a Castels site). Ditto the swimming pools.
My only gripe would be that we were turned away from the kids club twice (third time lucky but they didn't want to use it more than once) as it was full. I did query at reception how many kids they could have but she didn't tell me. I know that another Castels site (Anse du brick) has a max of 20 kids and there was no where near that many at the time - about 10, if that.
So if you are not worried about having a kids club then I would highly recommend this site. Some people turned up extra early to be sure of getting in.
The takeaway has lovely pizzas, kids enjoyed the bouncy castles and playground.

We stayed in a 4 person chalet in June as part of a Brittany ferries package via Cherbourg, about 90 minutes easy driving away. The site is part of the Castels chain which we have used before and this one didn't disappoint. Chalet was clean as was everywhere else on the well-tended site. The shop and bar are not open a great deal in the off-peak season so check the times, and unusually you have to pre-order bread and croissants the day before. We hired bikes of a good standard for €8.50 per day which was reasonable. The site lake is well stocked with carp and rudd and very pleasant for a few quiet hours fishing. The area is good for walking and biking and very rural, with the towns of Granville and St Pair close by. The former an interesting walled old town, the latter a pleasant and clean seaside town with little commercialism. We had a week on the site which is probably enough. There's no restaurant here so be warned if you're arriving late and expecting one. For a real treat order a 'Plat de fruits de mer' from the fish section at the nearby Geant supermarket to take away. We ordered a 3 person plat for €15 per person which was fantastic and more than enough for 4 adults with crab, langoustine, shrimps, whelks the lot. We would return.
