For a tourist, sitting out under the umbrellas on the terrace with views across Pittwater, and the rolling hills, with a glass of fine wine, would be a wonderful experience to remember.
Maybe thats why the staff didnt seem very interested in their work. They would take the scenery for granted , and they possibly think they'll never see you again anyway. So if they can upsell you some more bread. even though they know the mains courses will certainly fill you up...........
This attitude did affect my experience. BUT thats not why we were there. The food, the cuisine, was absolutely faultless; great flavours, challenging options on the menu; beautifully presented, perfectly cooked. 10/10 !!

Now called Frogmore Creek, this is superb. Must come close to a Michelin star if gets discovered. Knowledgable intelligent waiters, innovative food and lovely wine to match.

I was once told that a rule of dining is "Never eat in a restaurant with a view"
Well Meadowbank is the exception to the rule.
The location is superb - the view is so picturesque
We started at the tasting table and tried several wines before knowing what to drink with our food
The choice of food is excellent (based on several visits over the last four years)
I had the five different cuts of lamb whilst my partner had the rabbit - two excellent dishes
The service was very good

We had a brilliant lunch, great location overlooking the rive and vine yard. Ask f
Or a window seat. The waiter was very knowledgable and has wonderful sense of humour, fabulous service. The mussel were superb. Duck was brilliant, though too large a serve. Try the walnut salad and pear, brilliant. A must visit!

Cannot rate this highly enough..............2 visits in December, both special occasions (though the restaurant was not forewarned).........staff were fabulous and all worked seamlessly with each other; response times were excellent with drinks and food. Quality of the food is absolutely top notch. Make sure you try the lamb dish with 5 different cuts, each beautifully cooked. Pricing is extremely good for both entrees and mains and also for the wines, which are all from the combined Meadowbank/Frogmore Creek vineyards. The view and the restaurant surrounds are superb.
