My girlfriend and I visited from 3/15/13 - 3/20/13 as part of the time share presentation package. We saved a lot of money going this route, and were given the option to upgrade to a one bedroom suite for only $35 extra per night. We decided to pay the extra, and we were very happy that we did. The room was incredible, with lots of extra room, and the balcony was huge. Due to the package we purchased, we were limited to Zama and Davino's. Zama had a nice Mexican buffet each evening, and Davino's had a great Mediterranean theme, and we were very happy with the food there as well. I was concerned about the wait time for dinners from reading previous reviews, but we were excited to hear that they just recently started a reservation policy for dinner. I was given an email address that I could email my reservations prior to arriving, but for whatever reason, the email was never even opened before we left, so I had to make reservations when I arrived, which was no big deal, but still I wanted to have it done prior to arriving. They do allow you to make reservations up to at least two days in advance, so I only had to call to make reservations twice. Our longest wait time for seating was only 5 minutes, and that happened one time.

We did the day trip to Isla Mujeres, which I highly recommend. We took the ferry a few hundred yards down the beach from the resort. It cost only about $3 a person, but we found the schedule to be fairly unpredictable. We arrived at 9:30 am as advised by one of their employees the day before, and the ship arrived, but then we had to wait about an hour and a half for them to load the ship with trucks full of water (maybe we just had bad luck on that one ferry stop). Coming back was even more interesting. We were told the ferry would leave at 4:30 pm, so we headed back to town (we rented a golf cart) and stopped by the ferry dock at around 3:45, because we saw the ferry was already there. We asked the employee what time the ferry would leave, and he said 4:15. We rushed to turn in the golf cart, and were walking back to the dock (about 4:00), and of course we saw the ferry leaving the dock. Not sure what that was about. The next ferry would leave at around 7:15 pm (or 6:15, or 8:15 - who knows ????), so we decided to take another ferry back via Puerto Juarez, and the cost was double, but still only $6 and was twice as fast. You can take a taxi back to the resort, but we asked about a bus, and there is a line...More
