We were there in early November, had a lovely poolside room. This place is beautiful and quiet. We were looking for an easy vacation for 3-4 nights at an adults only, all inclusive. Cancun is a fairly easy flight for us, and with the fantastic service of USA Transfers, to/from the Cancun airport was also a breeze. So this ticked all the boxes of quiet, good food/ drinks, relaxing. But a few other things to keep in mind too. For us, this was about a 4.4 out of 5.

- Food was fantastic. Service was great. (room service wasn't immediate, but totally reasonable. room service food was fine, but the restaurants were better, understandably)
- A birthday celebration was provided at dinner at Lupita - table decorations and an excellent menu.
- Breakfast at Aroma everyday - wonderful buffet and made-to-order omelettes.
- Isla Grill - we had this for lunch 3/4 days - outstanding.
- Lunch our fourth day was wood-fired pizzas from El Mar poolside - also outstanding.
- Our room was wonderful. Bed was fairly comfortable. Nice huge closet. Loved the outdoor lounges. Nice feature of putting room service dishes in little closets that can be accessed, but not seen from the hallways. (One note - the bathrooms are open to the rooms. And our shower was completely clear glass to the living area. Would definitely prefer obscure glass - esp since we were on the first floor and would've been nice to keep the curtains open for the sunlight. but i didn't really want to put on that kind of show.)
- Water Ritual at the spa - we had one included w/ our room. it's a guided experience at the spa - we LOVED this! was our favorite! we'd have paid to do it again if we'd have time. it was wonderful.

- Yes, the beach has seaweed. We were going to try to get out past it one day, but the ocean was too choppy to bother. the sand itself was nice, but we were a bit disappointed.

- Pools are not heated. And were a bit chilly in early November. We sucked it up and got used to it for a bit - drinks from the swim up bar helped. but definitely not the most pleasant. you had to stay in the sun to make it bearable at all. i'm sure this is better at other times of the year.

We came to this resort at the recommendation of friends so our expectations were set high. This is a beautiful boutique property with awesome rooms, an amazing beach area and great layout. We really enjoyed the spacious room, the amenities including the stocked mini bar and snacks, as well as the great beach area with plenty of palapas and beds. We also had a few issues and the management team especially went above and beyond to check with us and make sure they were providing an excellent vacation! We really appreciate how receptive they were to feedback and overall had a great vacation!

A few things to note: They said they are working a bit more on some of the food options, we found it was a bit hit and miss and to be honest the a la carte for breakfast was not great, it seemed they would often serve preprepared foods and not make things fresh which was frustrating especially for a la carte. The manager even said we should ask them to make it fresh if that's what we wanted, but wouldn't anyone assume that?

That said we did have fantastic dinners at the grill restaurant as well as their Mexican. They also let you dine at Excellence one night and the Indian restaurant at Excellence was amazing and soo tasty!

We also ordered room service and then beach service...both times the food was pretty cold when it arrived, especially the fries. They also have some asian options on the menu, but they tasted nothing like asian food we've had before. It was not very enjoyable, especially when they say that they are a luxury hotel.

It's also good to know that there isn't so much to do in the evening at this hotel. The entertainment is outdoors, they have karaoke and dancing, but no indoor air conditioned club, and the area where the dancing is is quite hot as it's cut off from the ocean breeze. They do have a lot of attentive servers though to bring you drinks etc. But if you want any extras like premium tequilla or to try the hooka or other wine there is a premium charge associated to a lot of things.

They also took 3 bottles of alcohol back in exchange for putting scotch in our room, which I thought was strange. You should be able to ask for an additional without having to give up the other kinds.

I think overall they are trying to be helpful here, they have some kinks to work out and I think in the beginning they were doing more but took away those services. WE were told they'd take our picture and then swipe a card for each restaurant so we wouldn't have to say our name, that did not happen. We even waited 20 minutes at the seafood restaurant to even have someone say hello and nobody did. It seems they would make a server do everything for a table, water, bread, drinks bring all the food themselves, instead of having people work as a team to look after all of the guests. Multiple times servers would pick which table they wanted to serve instead of going first come first served. I'm not really sure why we got ignored a few times, but again when you've paid a decent amount of money it is a bit dissapointing when this happens. Even after you mention it to the managers and then it happens again.

Beloved is an enjoyable resort if you want a quieter place with less people. They have great facilities, the gym is awesome, spa is great, pool area beach area all awesome. Just keep in mind this is for people who want a low key vacation and you'll have a great time!

Very clean and chic resort. Excellence group did not leave any detail to rest. They think about everything. Like i said its clean, white, physically very attractive but... the beach is not that nice, but the pool compensates. Now what we didnt like was the staff... hard to describe... we just didnt feel like home. Compared to our stay at the excellence playa mujeres where the staff was friendly and amazing! Enjoy !

All in all we had a wonderful trip. The rooms are great and staff is AWESOME!

We had a few hiccups that were quickly resolved by the staff at each occurrence. They are very top of everything that goes on at the hotel.

The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The mini bar in stocked with premium liquor, and if you do not like what you have then you can ask for it to be changed out. Marlene kept our mini bar and fridge stocked daily and did not hesitate to track down whatever we were looking for.

Jarlene was on top of beach and pool service as well. He always had a smile and would go out of his way to bring us a plate of food or track down a special beer (Bohemia Clara is great!).

Claudia is always checking in and making sure all guests are comfortable and settling in as though you are at home.

The grounds are very well kept and the night life is calm. There is nightly entertainment, but not huge productions as you would see at the huge resorts.

There is not much of a beach and there was plenty of seaweed while we were there. They do have a tractor with a mulcher attached that drives up and down the beach a few times a day. Would have been nice (better) if there were a crew to rake it up and remove it completely. There was so much of it that it kept washing up that we didn't want to get in the water.

I would definitely go back to Beloved and whole heartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a totally relaxing vacation.

Room tip: stay in the main building for more balcony privacy
