I just got back from a trip to the riviera maya. The last time I was in the area, my wife and I spent some time at the Beloved. This time we stayed at another resort. You know the Beloved is great when all you do is compare things to it.
Here is what I loved best about the beloved: The Rooms, The Service, The food. Three things that rank very high for me.
The only thing that keeps it from being the most amazing place on earth is the beach. The beach is nice but does not compare to the waters of Cancun or other amazing beaches like Meroma, Akumal, or Tulum.
I guess you can't have it all - but I will be back at the Beloved for sure!

Room Tip: we had the swim up suite - nice but any of their rooms are great!

We spent an amazing 2 weeks holiday in this luxury 5 star resort. We lived in an ocean view junior suit, which was fantastic, very comfortable extra double bed, nice bathroom zone with Burglary toiletries and a wardrobe area. The only thing, that was uncomfortable is the sofa bed, which was transformed from the sofa to a bed, as we were requested this room for 3 person, but was not as good as the letter one, therefore one of us was sleeping on the balcony. We also were really surprised by a separate bar in our room with a mini bar in it, which was refilled every day and a set of alcohol beverages( 1 liter bottles) (wine, gin, vodka, whiskey and a tequila):-)

The cleaning service was very good and we would like to say many thanks to Veronica and everyone from the cleaning service team for their fantastic work, the room was also prepared for the sleep, which is very nice, as we always returned to a very nice and clean room:-)

We were using the room service several times, which is 24 hours and a big thanks to those people who provide us this wonderful opportunity to chill on the balcony with fruits and champagne:-)

The hotel has two pools with very comfortable beds, we used one of the pools about 3 times, but all of the day time we spend on the beach, which is very nice and clean. And we would like to sent our warm and big gratitude to all staff from the beach service, who satisfied all our requests and we enjoyed the best "Mango tango", "Cosmopolitan" and "Mojito" lying on the comfortable sunbeds and enjoying a wonderful sea view. We would like to say many thanks to Alex, Alfredo, Susana and Carlos, who were serving us during the breakfast and on the beach. ( there was also a girl with short black hair, we don't remember her name, but really appreciate all her help)

We really liked an a la carte menus for the lunch and dinner in an amazing "Isla Grill" restaurant, which we visited most of our time. Thanks to our friends Pablo, Able, Antonio and Giovani, who really made our lunches and diners as nice as it ever possible. El Mar is another great option for lunch, with a selection of very tasty pizzas and other snacks. Lupita restaurant is offering very delicious Mexican food and has a very nice atmosphere. Near it you can find Lupita lounge with Sushi and cocktails menu, which was honestly amazing There is only one place where you can enjoy you breakfast, which is Aroma restaurant, besides the room service. Here the buffet is quiet repetitive, but has a full range of food with a very nice option of ordering from the menu.

Thank you very much to this wonderful place , where we enjoyed every day of our holiday, and especially to an amazing Team, who are working hard and putting all the effort of making our holiday unforgettable.

We were a bit disappointed when we just arrived: the buildings are more like the city council resident buildings, not very attractive. It is a nice hotel, but more suitable for families with kids, as the hotel is very small, quiet, only with a very small pool full with kids. (there are another two pools, but there are no ppl there at all, they even closed the bar nearby). There are only four restaurants with similar cuisine available, but the service is really nice.

We had to slide into the Hotel next door (the Excellence Playa Mujeres one) to enjoy their activities, parties, atmosphere, and their food: it's not really allowed, but the two hotels belong to the same group so it should be fine. Or we had to stay in the pool in our suite at night looking at the sky, and listening to the music and looking at the firework from the other hotel: I felt so sad......

It is basically a decent hotel, but the system could be confusing. I booked a terraced suite and called TWICE to confirm we dont need to pay for the third person, but when we arrived, the manager at the counter insisted we needed to pay for the third person. It was alright, but when we said we called, the manager looked at us like we were lying, and asked us to provide the name in their call cantre who gave us the wrong information. ok, so in the future, I will ask the name of every person I spoke to, even she is in Mexico and could barely speak English. Anyway, the staff at the reception (btw, they don't really have a reception, just a table in one of their restaurants....) are a bit rude.

btw, the terraced suite was stated on the Hotel website as over 180 square meters, but it is actually even smaller than a standard room: although the terrace is huge.

Stayed 8 nights as the end of a two week holiday.
Service, food and attention to details was nothing less than absolutely perfect!
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we saw nothing but smiles and received nothing but faultless service and great food.

All the restaurants are great in their separate way.
However, we found our favourite spot at the Isla Grill, where the whole family felt at home with both the menu and the service.
Especially our waiter, Noe, is worth pointing out. If you ever go to the Beloved, make sure you see him, because he is the best!

If I was to find one little minus in this little haven, it would be that the Spa treatments are far too expensive - even though the area feels as a little peace of heaven!
Every day we received offers of discounts - obviously because they have difficulty filling the spaces. Surely it would be better business to lower the prices slightly and be full all the time?
Just a thought...

All in all, PERFECTION !
Thank you!

Room Tip: Swim-up suites are nice and spacious, but be aware that the pool outside your room is not heated...

My wife and I got away for four days. We found the service incredible. The resort never seemed busy and the staff was always happy to help. The one criticism would be the social aspect was very quite as most guests had young children. This turned out to be a positive as we retired early and enjoyed more time together. I would highly recommend this resort if you want to get away, do nothing and be pampered.

Room Tip: We upgraded to a suite on arrival and even slept outside one night.

We had 3 people on this trip from Jan.10th - 14th. We stayed in the two-story Carinosa 3 Casita. I will start with the pros and then the cons of the room.

Pros:
- Fully stocked snack bar, Premium Liquor (Don Julio Reprosado, Johnny Walker Black Label) were our go to's.
- Modern shower, sinks, toilet.
- In room hot tub.

Cons:
- Damp smell during various intervals of the day. Not sure if this was the a/c system or just a result of the beach/location.
- Mattress needs upgrade immediately. (It was not the quality of a 3 star standard let alone 5 star)
- Furniture placement left room feeling overcrowded and stuffy.

Being this is a beach destination the majority of our time was spent outside of the room so none of these above mentioned cons were a "make" or "break" for this trip.

Being that this was all-inclusive we ate at all 5 restaurants multiple times. Our favorite go to spot was La Isla Grill. Antonio and Noie were always willing to go the extra mile with their great service. It was also the only restaurant that was open for both lunch and dinner.

We got a great education on Tequila from Guillermo in the hotel lobby bar. His willingness to let us try all the top of the top shelf stuff that wasn't sitting out was an awesome experience.

The beach itself was maintained and there were plenty of lounge chairs for laying out. The ocean water itself you probably won't want to swim in. Its got a lot of grit washing ashore.

Around the pool by the swim-up bar beds are limited so you will need to find spot very early each morning if you plan to lay out.

The overall service by the entire staff in general was AMAZING!! Even if your Spanish is limited you won't be frowned upon.

Make sure to lock up all valuables in the safe in your room. Unfortunately, we had a pair of earrings disappear from the room that were left out on the first night.

Overall, if you are getting a real bang for your buck. So those who are considering the relaxation and seclusion of Playa Mujures instead of the hustle and bustle of Cancun this is the place to be.

Room Tip: Recommending the 1 or 2 story Casitas as the regular suites are detached from the beach and don'...
