Buyan & Tamblingan lakes make up the Twin Lake view in Gobleg village.

One twisty road up before you come to this hilltop Scenic spot. They (it seems everywhere in Bali!) charge for car parking.

If you dare, there's a concrete platform/ old foundation that juts out for awesome Facebook pics. What's fascinating is that as soon as we drove to the other side of the hill we were shrouded in thick mist and cool damp. Huge temperature drop within a few hundred metres. It meant the much signposted 'The View' restaurant actually offered zero view that day...

On our guided tour of North Bali, my wife and stopped at the Twin Lakes for great photo ops. There are two fresh water lakes beside each other, and the views are spectacular. There is also the opportunity to get a photo with some of the wildlife, which included seagull sized fruit bats, a rather large iguana, and of course the island’s only predator the python.

There is a nice campsite to camp out doors by this beautiful lake. We were lucky to be given special privilege by the authorities to do some light off-road at the lake Buyan Rainforest during the ILRU 2016 – Indonesia Land Rover United 2016 gathering in December 2016. It was definitely an unforgettable experience : )

This lake was located near bedugul lake. if you visit this lake, i suggest you to camp for a day or more to enjoy this lake. there were some shops nearby so you dont need to be afraid to run out of stock. but unfortunately there were trashes at some spots, also there are no direct access to the lake because the surroundings of the lake was filled with some plants with no solid ground so it was really dangerous. also there were some corruption with the local people that managed this place, they asked for 20k IDR for 2 people but when i checked the ticket it only showed 8.5k IDR per person. so they took 3k IDR. there were so many big damar trees on nearby of this lake so they provided strong resistance against the wind

For me, Lake Buyan is a very popular place for youngsters for camping to enjoy the pure nature around the lake. Mornings are also perfect moment for photo hunting in the lake focusing on fishermen activities by the lake shore or while they go fishing in the morning light. So beautiful....
