The hotel most charming old mansion is run by husband and wife team Thierry (front of house) and Dominique (in the kitchen). I'm surprised that nobody snapped them for a reality TV programme. Monsieur Thierry is the most charming man that takes personal care of his guests , making sure that all the needs are met. This hotel is extra special because of his caring touch.I loved every moment and enjoyed chatting to him as he was teaching me french . We stayed in a hotel for a week but i could have stayed there for ever.
The hotel has a restaurant and the meals were fantastic , I strongly recommend it . You must have at least one meal there, the restaurant has a reputation for being the best in an area and people will travel from long distance to eat there !!!! We talked to many ex pats and they all mentioned the famous restaurant.
At breakfast we were offered cheese, hams, fruits, different breads jams and all the other . If anything we were offered more than what we could eat. This Hotel is an essence of France. If we come back to the area we will definitively stay there again x All I can say merci beaucoup Monsieur Thierry.

Room Tip: We were offered choice of rooms, but they all were lovely x x

Husband and wife team Thierry (front of house) and Dominique (in the kitchen) run this charming old hotel in the middle of Casillonnes, a lovely 'Bastide' town. Don't worry that Castillonnes is not famous, crowded or that there aren't any other hotels in town. This one is great. We came for 4 nights in 2010 and returned for 3 more in 2011. We love the large room, quaint courtyard, ancient buildings and good food. We choose to eat dinner in because the cooking is great. On street parking outside. It's a good base for trips to several other Bastides nearby.

We only met M. Leonard who gave us a very warm welcome. Unfortunately we stayed on a Sunday night and the restaurant was closed so cannot comment on the food. The breakfast was much better than average. We had room Ondine at the back which was very large, tea and coffee making with well fitted bathroom except only hand shower. Preferred room at the back as it was very quiet and clean and comfortable. Shall try to return when the restaurant is open!Hotel has garden and terrace where there are plenty of places to sit.

The hotel is in an elegant 18th century mansion which has been very tastefully converted to its current use. Our room was huge and extremely comfortable. The bathroom looked newly refurbished and had a bath with hand shower, but they may have other rooms with proper showers. The couple who run the hotel could not have been more friendly or helpful, making us feel extremely welcome without being stuffy or officious. We dined outside on their beautiful terrace and the food was truly excellent, with a slightly "fusion" menu which made a nice change from traditional French cuisine, and was reasonably priced. I feel mean to make any criticism but the breakfast at 10 Euros should have been better. Apart from that, I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

We had our wedding reception at Des Remparts this year and the food and service provided far exceeded our expectations. The food was enjoyed by all, with one guest commenting that it was one of the best meals he had ever had! The manager and chef went out of their way to ensure everything was special, and the presentation of the meals was exquisite.
Our rooms in the hotel were pretty and overlooked the terrace outside, which was nice, but the main thing that will draw us back to the hotel is the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, as well as the delicious food!

The rooms are well fitted and comfortable. We had a wedding reception here and three of our guests and the bride-to-be stayed here. The food was absolutely delicious and the courses were many and very tasty. All the guests remarked on what a good find this hotel and restaurant were. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was excellent. No-one could find fault with anything. Just wonderful!

We started our stay quiet badly as the owner had listed us on the wrong day but once we saw there seemed to be no one in the hotel we phoned the number given to us by Booking.com and soon the wife arrived to open the door. After that they made all the effort to make us feel welcome! We loved our stay in this hotel. The lovely couple who owns it really goes out of their way to make you feel good, the food was excellent and in the summer al fresco dinning must be quite an experience as they have a very nice garden! Great menu in the restaurant and apart from the owner also a very nice lady who knows exactly how the traditional dishes are prepared. We stayed for one night but went back for lunch the next day!
