Owner description: Tosua literally means a Giant Swimming Hole. 30 meters deep and is accessible via a long ladder to the pool.Overlooking the ocean is a beach called Fagaoneone meaning white sand whereas opposite is a lava field with blow hole, tide pools and walking paths along the rocks near the ocean’s edge.

Great hole for swimming, ladder down into wonderful swimming hole. Best to time it with high tide, then is deeper. Many people were juming from the top, but make sure high tide otherwise you will hit the bottom. Great spot to bring a picnic, has open fales for sitting and eating and toilets

We went in the morning and were the only people there! This is a must-see while in Samoa! Even if you don't want to swim in the Trench there are some beautiful gardens and a lovely ocean view to enjoy. However, I highly recommend swimming!

An exciting ladder and great views down the coast even if you do not swim! The gardens are also pleasant with small false to sit, picnic or sleep.

A beautiful visit and refreshing swim- just mind the slippery ladder. I wouldn't take young kids here as the ladder is simply too dangerous for them.

An amazing geologic feature, I've never seen anything like it. The water is crystal clear blue and great to swim in. We spent probably an hour just floating around and exploring the cave.

One of the other reviews I read for this location mentioned that the reviewer couldn't go into the trench because she was pregnant. I was also pregnant during my visit, but that didn't really get in my way. The ladder is extremely sturdy, but the wood rungs do get damp.
It's 15 tala to get in (that's less than 7.50 USD) so it is really quite cheap. I would recommend this spot over almost anything else on the island. It's stunning and unique. You've got to see this place to believe it!
