“Awesome scuba diving..”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

Tried scuba diving behind sindhadurg fort. It was simply great. Water was clear above but wasnt that clear in depth of around 10ft. Can watch n feel corals, fishes, sea weeds. At evening hoursmmore varieties of fishes can be seen, but in early hours water can be clear. Totally a memorable expirience and get underwater shooting n photos on request. Photos wont be clear in depth as water was not clear. Must try scuba diving if one is visiting malvan.

“Nice dive for beginners”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

To begin with, what you see on the sea-floor depends on many factors. The dive spots are divided among different operators. Also, the variety of fishes are more in October-November. The earlier you dive, the better the clarity. The water can get murky after many people disturb the sand bed.
There are three options available.
1) Snorkelling: where you are just peeping to see the sea-bed from surface
2) Surface diving: Where you breath air via a tube. An air compressor on surface pumps the air. This is cheaper than scuba
3) Scuba diving: where you carry a cylinder on your back for air-supply.
The difference between 2 and 3 is the price. Also you many not be able to dive very deep in case of 2, as you are restricted by length of pipe. For this dive spot, I would suggest to go for option 2, as the depth is not much.
We saw many corals and fishes. Infact you can see many fishes near the surface.
Negatives: The instructors at our dive spot were helpful, but not very professional. They took only 1 member to a depth of 40ft. People who had dived at Andamans before were disappointed. So do not go with very high expectations but do go. The dive is definitely a good value for money. Especially the surface one. Bargain for the prices.
Also, the videography in between the dive can be a dampner. You can just get 1-2 videos for your group and enjoy the rest of the dive.

“A must visit”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Ensure a visit here during your Malvan trip. The ocean floor is loaded with plenty of colorful corals, water plants & lots of various fishes can be sighted during your dip. The activities carried here are cylinder scuba diving, commercial scuba diving & snorkeling which is absolutely worth. The visibility underwater in December is very clear to explore the marine nature. Infact during your wait you can see many & beautiful fishes from the boat itself.

“My first scuba-diving experience :))”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

This is in Malvan,Maharashtra nearby the fort amidst water.I put on a rented black suit and dived into water around 8ft deep. The water so far not stirred gives an almost clear vision of marine life underwater - fishes, algae, and corals. As my palms were bare, the skin had got kind of scratched as I had touched the stones to move forward. Scuba-diving here is fun if not the guides mess up your freedom to move around underwater. Got video-shooted by a guide which was great. My ears were getting closed as I reached the lowest point, guess water pressure was high. My suggestion is do either snorkelling/scuba-diving here. You don't have to do the both on the same place. A good start up session for beginners as water is not much deep here.
