Visited Gainsborough old hall yesterday! What a beautiful piece of history! No parking on site but within easy reach of the local car parks!
Took an audio guide , which I don't usually do, it was full of useful information throughout the visit!
Beautiful old building full of character, set within a beautiful garden!
Well worth a visit!

A very impressive large Medieval Manor house in an unexpected location. It's very reasonably priced too. The Great Hall and Kitchen are the highlights of this well preserved piece of English history. The tower which is accesible via the tower bed chamber is worth climbing as there are panoramic views of Gainsorough. The only down side is the lack of a car park but we managed to park on one of the side streets although there are pay and display car parks available apparently.

It's a great place for children to learn about history in a fun way and we managed to navigate around a school trip without it spoiling our visit. It's worth finishing off your visit with a piece of homemade cake and a look around the small shop. Well worth a visit.

Well located in the centre of town. Somethings not accessible but then the building was built in Tudor times. Very interesting information. The staff are all very helpful. The cafe offers an excellent choice of food and at reasonable prices.

Just spent a few hours at the Old Hall. Nice coffee shop. Good atmosphere and very informative about the history. Plenty to see and read. Audio head sets a must, along with the brilliant sat nav type video player. All for a £4 concessions fee. What a bargain
