Description: We source top quality ingredients from Skye. Our shell-fish come from Elgol harbour and our game and speciality meats from top quality suppliers on the island. Our food is simply and elegantly prepared and served in our informal and cosy restaurant. We have an excellent and carefully chosen wine list, having visited some of the vineyards from which we source our wine. We have a range of single malts to provide an aperatif or a flourish to end your meal at Coruisk House. Reservations for lunch and dinner are always required 24 hours in advance

“Great food and friendly service”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

Fantastic meal on New Years eve, and another on the 2nd January as the first was so good. The venison was perfect and the salted caramel ice cream is something that should be sold widely as one of the best ice creams we had ALL tasted.
Only thing to mention to those staying next door at Mary's cottages is that the Coruisk does not have a bar but is a restaurant with rooms, so take some refreshments with you to the cottages and make sure you book well ahead for the fantastic restaurant.

“Our favorite meal in Scotland”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

We were unable to get a room at the Coruisk House (instead staying up the road at the wonderful Swordale House) but we did have dinner reservations for one of our two nights on Skye. As we drove the narrow road through some of the most amazing scenery on the Isle, we were hoping the meal would live up to our expectations. It did all that and more. Claire was a warm and welcoming hostess, and she took plenty of time telling us about the house and her menu. Dinner was a calm, un-rushed affair in a warm and cozy dining room. Every single thing we ate was fantastic, even the out-of-this-world bread. We look forward to returning, and hopefully spending the night!

A very tasty and varied menu, served up in a pleasant and welcoming environment. This is the second time we have visited and once again we were not disappointed.

“Exciting Seafood”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

We had a delightful lunch at Coruisk House. Our host Clare is very friendly and attentive to details. The restaurant is simple but with nice interior decor. We had a specially ordered lobster with sconsor scallop, langostins, squat lobster & mussels. Yummy. Smoked salmon was nicely presented as well.

“Delightful!”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

Absolutely have a pot of squat lobsters! They're fun and delicious. Also, the mains are excellent--fresh and inventive preparations, using the best possible locally-sourced ingredients. (Claire and Ian sometimes get up in the middle of the night to meet their seafood suppliers in Elgol, and their round trip for vegetables and herbs encompasses pretty much all of Skye and parts of the mainland.)

Bring a good appetite and be prepared to settle in for a real treat--and treat yourself to an overnight so you can enjoy their wine list and a selection of fine scotches.
