4 of us arrived at Les Rossignols to enjoy my cousin's 70th birthday and what a party we had courtesy of Lou and John. They prepared a wonderful meal and produced a cake and the wine flowed. We had such a good time and enjoyed playing boulle on the village green the next day. A lovely house and garden. The pool looked good but we run out of time only having a long weekend there. Definitely longer next time with such a friendly, relaxed couple.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed equally fine from what I could see.Well decorated in a French style.

This was our second visit to Les Rossignols, and we initially booked for 2 nights, but were enjoying ourselves so much we decided to stay an extra night. Lou and John are great hosts, and make their guests feel very welcome. We ate with them twice, and the food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed our leisurely breakfasts accompanied by John's great choice of music. The weather wasn't good enough for us to use the pool, but my husband is a keen bird watcher, and was thrilled to see and hear the nightingales singing in the garden, which is a real haven for birds and other wildlife. Thanks Lou and John for another great stay - we hope to be back again next year.

Room Tip: The 'Chambre Rouge' is great, with a roof terrace where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful...

I didn't think it was possible to take a 3 year old and a 4 year old to a small bed and breakfast and feel at home but Lou and John went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Not only did they interact with our children, they made sure they felt welcome as well and let them pick out a children's movie to enjoy, They always made sure the kids had exactly what they liked for breakfast and were very attentive to us. They found out that it was our son's birthday while we were staying with them and in the morning, there was a candle in his breakfast croissant and a handwritten card. He still treasures that card! They are genuinely interested in getting to know the people who stay at their house. We were very impressed with the guest living areas, very comfortable and clean. Lou and John spent time with us to recommend a good itinerary while in the area. After 25 days traveling around Europe with our children, staying at Les Rossignols was like a breath of fresh air. Thank you for a fantastic stay, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This August we've spent one night at Les Rossignols. We found out that it is worth staying a much longer time, but unfortunately we already had bookings arranged for Brittany. When we arrived we immediately found their large pool for neccesary cool down after a long drive. The garden is huge! John showed us the fridge in where we could find beers and soda's. We opted for booking including diner. Great decision! Lou cooked a great diner for us. For us, apart from the great pool, great surroundings and excellent diner we we're most impressed by the hospitality. Lou and John clearly know how to enjoy life. They've travelled the world and have an intelligent view on the world and life. If we can include Les Rossignols in our future travel plan's we'll certainly stay for a longer time. Lou and John showed so much enthusiasm about the region and the things worthwhile to do, that it deserves at least a week. Thanks, Lou and John! Marlien, Cas, Mees and Max Belderbos

My husband, 2 year old daughter and I stayed for 6 nights in Chambre Bleue - which meant we had the whole top floor to ourselves so had loads of space. The separate living area was perfect to read books in once we had put our daughter to bed but weren't quite ready for bed ourselves. Lou & John are fantastic hosts and we had several very enjoyable evenings in their company with delicious food and good wine. The weather didn't bless us but we were happy to use our time driving around during the day and seeing the sights rather than sunbathing - but it was a shame not to make more use of the gorgeous swimming pool!

I just enjoyed three days with Lou and John and feel like I have made new friends. Generous, awesome cooking if you have a meal and John always comes up with superb wine to go with it. I received some great tips on where to go, small towns and villages and felt equally comfortable on the property. This is how I have always thought a Chambre d'hôte should be. Go. Stay. Enjoy.

We spend a wonderfull time with Lou and John at les Rossignols. We enjoyed very much their warm hospitality, the lovely Chambre Rouge + terrace, the relaxing garden + swimmingpool and
the delicious meals (table d'hotes) we had together. Sitting around the table, enjoying the nice food and good conversation is a great way to learn more about other cultures!
The Lot has a beautiful countryside with many interesting places to visit. We stayed for 5 days so we couldn't visit all the sights but as we know now this lovely B&B we really like to come back one day.
