Stayed here 1 night before attending wedding close by on the following day. We received a warm welcome from the owner and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was modern and comfortable with a great shower wet room. My wife asked if a hairdryer was available and it was brought across by the owner with a mirror too. Food was very good, excellent selection and decent quality. We spent the evening in the bar, although it was fairly quiet, the owners took time to chat to us, and we had a very pleasant evening.. Breakfast was served in the bar, and it was all you could want. The owner kindly let us stay in the room later than normal, so we could get ready for the wedding. Much appreciated. All in all a good choice, wouldn't hesitate to use again or recommend to friends.. Can't understand the negative comments from some reviewers, the owners have been in the pub over 25 years so must be doing something right!!

The food at the pub is good... and the selection of drinks as well.

The rooms are modern, comfortable, cosy, warm with en-suite. I booked 2 rooms for my stay.

Breakfast is great...

The staff are friendly. A value for money stay!

Recommended all rounder. I would come back again!

Room Tip: Any room is great... just ask!

We stayed ther for 1 night as a group of 5 coupes - bad decision! We were not shown to our rooms and left to wander outside in the garden trying to find where we were staying.
When the rest of our party started to arrive, there was some confusion as to who was staying where and who had already booked in - when I went to ask the person behind the bar for some help re this all I got was 'its not my problem' type of attitude.
The breakfast was terrible - could barely eat anything. The toast was burnt, the eggs were under cooked, and the service was even worse! I even heard the waitress mutter insults at us! Laughable if we weren't paying £85 per room!

Arrived on a friday night to find the bar completely empty with no atmosphere, the staff indifferent and not very welcoming.
Didn't eat so can't comment on the food.
Room in converted block very nice, lovely shower room.Fire escape light over door rather bright so room not very dark.
Breakfast ok but nothing particularly special and staff again not particularly friendly or welcoming.
Did find out that Lionel wasn't there, so maybe he is what would make the difference.

We stayed here for two nights instead of camping at Car Fest - good move! The rooms were clean and nicely appointed for a B and B. Lovely friendly owners who were very accommodating when we needed to check in very late. Good quality breakfast served each morning. Would recommend.

We stayed 1 night for a nearby wedding. 6 rooms are in a converted function room behind the pub - clean and modern, with comfortable beds. Ideal for the purpose, good English breakfast and nice host and hostess.

Ideal for the purpose.

We stayed overnight at this pub as was attending a local party. Lovely rural setting, with rooms away from the pub. Rooms tastefully decorated and clean. Tea & coffee facilities in the room, always welcome when awaking with a hangover!
