“Absolutely perfect with young kids”
Reviewed February 5, 2011

As teachers we get a lot of holidays! :)
Firstly Bangtao - our favourite part of Phuket (we've been there a thousand times and got married there): quiet, family friendly, reasonably priced and a good distance from Patong seediness. It's a lot closer to the airport than many of the southern family friendly beaches. It's close to the whole Laguna area if you need a fix of western style manufactured luxury (or a decent doctor) but the rest of it maintains a genuine Thai flavour and price tag.
Having stayed at CLS twice now and we are completely hooked. We are returning at Easter and again over the Summer for a long rental. CLS is off the beaten track so don't expect to be able to walk out the front door into downtown Patong (but who would want to?) This is the perfect family retreat. Very large apartments that are really well appointed. A brilliant pool which is perfect for toddlers (and teaching them to swim). The food is good and they have a huge menu so the little one's are well catered for. I wouldn't rate it as the best food in Phuket but it's very acceptable, cheap and varied. Service is excellent. Within walking distance are a few better places to eat but be prepared for the late afternoon downpour. The gym is top notch. If you're travelling with young children we highly recomend hiring a car. Thay are fairly cheap and it means you can get out and about easily. There's a very good supermarket in Patong and an acceptable one just up the road.
If you want to be in the thick of it then CLS is not for you but if you want an increadibly relaxing holiday without breaking the bank then this place is perfect.

This was the 3rd time we stayed at Club Lersuang and for us it was "home away from home" Its ambiance, the apartment, pool, the staff ,we could not fault any of it. It was always so peaceful and only a short stroll to the beach, restaurants and shops.Bangtao beach is a beautiful beach that stretches for miles with lots going on for everyone. The only down side to it is that its 30 mins away from Patong if you want to go shopping loads of restaurants and nightlife and it costs 500 baht by taxi one way. It didnt bother us and we made a few trips there and it was always nice to come back to the beauty of Lersuang. We found the best place to eat was Nok and Jos which is just down the track from Lersuang. Its a family run business and Jo his wife Nok and staff are wonderful people and we always felt at home there and the food and value for money is excellent, we have been there many times and would highly recommend it for families, couples and singles. They put on a great all you can eat spread on Wednesdays and have a very entertaining cabaret on at 8.30pm.We have only returned home after nearly 3 weeks and we cant wait to get back there again!

With glowing reviews on Trip Advisor What could go wrong?

You need to read this review and think if this is the right holiday for you and your family.

Club Leursang is very nice. It is an apartment complex that has been squashed in on the available land. The pool area is fine but you will feel as if the units are on top of you.

The staff are great, the restaurant on the premises was reasonably priced but a bit ordinary.

Dealing with the owner Billy was great and the staff from the real estate company who managed the place were very helpful. For example, the beds were really hard and they managed to find a thin mattress and duvet to make it a bit softer for my wife.

The apartment was good apart from really hard beds - I mean really hard. Then there is the sheets - the stains were revolting.

The main problem is that the apartment is set back out of the "village" down a sandy/muddy path ( depending on the time of year). We stayed at the end of the wet season and quite a bit of rain which was fine. At one point we had to wade through muddy puddles to make our way back to the hotel.

Bang Tao was pretty deserted so there wasn't much atmosphere in the streets and restaurants.

The food in the restaurants was very disappointing. Compared to what you ask? Bali, Perth, even the UK.

Nok and Joe's - pub food. Joe's is a nice Canadian guy.

Emmy's quite poor - they murder Italian food there.

Coco's probably the best Thai food we had, but were the only ones ever there.

The Best Western Hotel - great breakfast and food

Hotel Dalar - great breakfast and good for evening meals

In summary I don't want to be hard on the place but I wished we had stayed at the best Western or the Hotel Dalar. Then we would have had a more resort type experience.

If you don't mind being off the beaten track and you don't mind the quality of the food and hard beds, then this will be fine.

On the plus side the Gym was excellent and the free WiFi was great

One final thing - no one mentions this much, but there is quite a sleaze factor in Thailand. You see lots of fat old European men with young Thai prostitutes. Patong is a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah - not an ideal place to take your family

We Travelled to Phuket in October 2009. We stayed at Club Lersuang for just over 1 week. Upon our arrival we were greeted by so many friendly staff who helped us with our luggage and getting settled into the room.

We are amazed at the beautiful gardens and the amazing pool. The hotel also had a great fitness centre and games room.

We could not believe how great the food was at the hotels restruant and it was so cheap too!!!!

We loved our stay here and only wish that it could have been for longer.

The location of this hotel was perfect, we were away from all of the hustle and bustle of Patong and so very close to the most beautiful beaches. It was so nice to be at a beach and not be hassled by people trying to sell you things!!!

We will be returning to this hotel and this time it will be for much longer!!!!

Stayed here with Family and young children. The staff in the bar/restaurant are really helpful, and treat you as if you are the only guests. It appears on many days that you are, the place is incredibly quiet, fantastic for a quiet holiday with the kids. The pool is fantastic. Apartments open up right onto poolside if you go for a ground floor apartment. All amenities are there in the apartments, TV, DVD, Phone, Wi-Fi, fully fitted western kitchen, and the gym is amazing, including the sauna/jacuuzi.

Great place and will defintiely go back.

We've just returned from our first holiday in Phuket and want to let you all know about the fantastic break we had at Club Lersuang. Made our reservation through www.club-lersuang-a10.com, and to be honest, everything was more than what we expected. Airport transfers were included, as was the great housekeeping. The apartments could not be faulted - everything was supplied, including satellite TV which we used on the one rogue rainy night that we had. The kids thought the pools are fantastic, as was the restaurant and gym. Plenty of local restaurants - our favourite was Emmy's - great food, great massage! Easy to hire a car - very reasonable. All in all, this was by far the best holiday that we've ever had - already looking to return, next year.
