We stayed at the Pavilions from September 10th through September 14th 2012. We booked the trip on-line and confirmed the reservation for the room as well as the transport upon our arrival. Bee our driver was waiting when we emerged from baggage, customs, immigration… He had cool towels, fresh fruit, and water for our enjoyment. He asked if this was our first visit to Phuket, when we indicated it was our second he welcomed us back.
When we arrived at the resort we were greeted by the staff in traditional sort with the clang of the gong and a welcoming drink. We were also greeted by the GM and the Activities director. They both let us know that they were available should we need anything. We were also advised that we could be as active or inactive as we wanted. Room service is available in the room for all three meals if that is what we choose. We also had a separate room for spa services.
The room – the room was very spacious. We had a big living space with a sofa that was easy to cuddle up on. Our bed was a king size canopy with sheer curtains completely surrounding it. The bath was equally spacious with a soaking tub, double sinks in the vanity and a walk in shower. The spa room was also available to us, the bathroom was a bit smaller (no worries) the shower...We stayed at the Pavilions from September 10th through September 14th 2012. The spa room was also available to us, the bathroom was a bit smaller (no worries) the shower had a steam and sauna feature. Our main room overlooked our private courtyard with private pool, lounge chairs, dining table, and canopied lounge bed. The spa area had a mini garden with waterfall which perfected the spa services.
We had dinner and drinks at the 360 club. The staff was amazing always there to assist but not overbearing and intrusive. Tang and Jaeb were terrific members of the staff who enhanced our experience. We were also greeted by Francois the meals director who came by to check on us. Again another touch that made us feel special.
We had breakfast every day at the Plantation Club. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The buffet was not huge by any means but the “cooked to order” options had a terrific variety, the food was cooked to perfection. One member of the staff really stood out for us and that was YOM every morning he would greet us by name and ask us how our day before was. He was a sweet young man that made us feel like we were home. Thank you YOM!
We arranged excursions through the staff as well as on our own. Both options were welcome and handled perfectly. My husband suffered an injury prior to our arrival which made walking difficult. We really appreciated the “golf cart’s” that picked you up at the top of the lift and brought you to anywhere on the property you wanted to go.
Thank you Pavilion Staff for making our trip special we cannot wait to come back. Debbie and JimMore
