We have been twice in this Resort and as we live in Thailand in Koh Samui, we will return as much often as we will be able to in this hotel. The situation on a beach which is for us the best in Phuket, the Laguna is a very quiet place, proximity of good restaurants, everything nice.

On a tour I was given the opportunity to upgrade my hotel and room. The majority of the tour stayed at a Holiday Inn and I upgraded to the Dusit Thani not knowing how nice this hotel was. The hotel is beautiful and staff could not be more accommodating. Strongly suggest staying here if you want to stay in a deluxe hotel.

Had an ocean facing room on the second floor. Despite the great view our room was not enjoyable at all. And i wouldn’t return to stay here.
There was a continual water condensation on the outside of our window.
Our floor was constantly wet so much so i had to cover it with towels.
Our clothes and sheets were damp.
Outside on the balcony there were so many mosquitos i couldn’t sit.
There was no mosquito coils to light to get rid of them.
Overall sitting in the room was really depressing.
The Laguna cafe was very enjoyable. They have great hamburgers! And the best staff!
The Thai restaurant had a great view. But so many mosquitos i couldn’t stay long to enjoy my meal.
The resort looks well past its prime.
But the rates are cheap so I cannot complain. As you get what you pay for.
Turn down service is amazing! With lots of nice things to eat
Given all the good reviews online. I am assuming there are different room types that may offer non damp rooms, i would suggest before booking check!

We have been experiencing some challenges with the humidity for certain rooms and are doing our best to resolve it. I would also like to apologize for not being proactive in relocating you to another room during your stay.
I am glad however to read that at least the Cafe and turn down was to your satisfaction.

Everyone is full of smiles here genuinely expressing their happiness in serving their guests. The entire staff make sure that you feel as their own. The property is on the beach and surrounded by lagoons giving a very natural habitat feeling and children use to love feeding the birds. The facilities at the hotel are outstanding and we'll taken care of. Overall a great choice to experience.
