The facilities at this tourist hotel were very good. The rooms are of a reasonable size with safe, fridge and coffee/tea making facilities, (you might have to buy milk from a nearby mart). The mattress on our bed was distinctly on the firm side which was a slight problem!
The staff could not have been more helpful and, with security cameras all over the place, we always felt safe.
Breakfast was a nice surprise, given some of the comments we had read! A good cooked selction, although a little more choice of fresh fruit would be more exciting than just pineapple, water melon and the odd banana. The building where breakfast is served is adjacent to the hotel reception but there are limited tables which guests often have to share.
Two fresh water swimming pools were refreshing after a day touring the island or sitting on the beach. Surin beach is rather overcrowded for our taste but there are others within reasonable distance.
Surintra is good value and we would recommend it as a base.More
