... Thank you for the most relaxing holiday I ever had! The Hotel is located in such a beautiful location, with a quite Beach and refreshing ocean at your doorstep! The staff is very friendly and they make you feel like home away from home! The food at the Restaurant is very good but if you want to have some "real" local food, you can find it very close by as well!
If you are looking for party and crowded beaches dont come to sala- it takes about an Hour to get down to Patong- the hotel offers trips to phuket city and patong (and many more) but we were so happy to come back to sala after a visit to patong beach :)
I will be back for sure!! Thank you

We chose this resort after staying at Sala Samui in Koh Samui and the resort was just as good. The restaurant food was absolutely great, the Thai night was particularly good much to our surprise as we are not ones for theme buffets but it was set up like street stalls with individual carts which cooked a specialty from different areas of Thailand to order. The breakfast was not as good as Sala Samui's but was good all the same. The restaurant and bar areas are especially nice with day bed along the front of the bar to chill out with a drink and relax.
We had a Sala pool villa which was a good size and well maintained, I agree with the people who said the tiles were very slippery although on the main walkway they have put on a net sort of covering which was good.
The beach was the best I have seen in Thailand so far, beautiful white sandy beach and blue water which had small waves.
Be aware that unlike many resorts in Phuket there are no sunloungers allowed on the beach as it is a national park which is a pity, in fact there are no views from the resort at all except if you have a booked dinner upstairs. The pool areas have been done beautifully to compensate for this and the iced tea which magically appeared whilst you were laying around the pool was a great touch.
My only complaint was that it is sooo far away from anything other than other resorts it cost 700 baht each person return for the shuttle to Patong which is about AUD$50 for the two of us and there was only one at 5.30pm to Patong and 10.30pm home. A taxi was more expensive I think it was 1200 baht each way.
There was a little shop just outside to buy some beers, cokes and snacks from.
Overall I would definitely recommend Sala to people who want to completely get away from it all and just enjoy the resort and it's facilities and the lovely beach.

A great place for a relaxing weekend away from it all. We hired a car from the airport which is less than 20 mins away but did find it a little tricky to find the actual entrance to the hotel. Lovely welcome drink and cold towels while they checked us in and whisked our bags to our room. Soon being escorted to our room - a first visit to Thailand so glad they explained the wonderful outdoor balcony, bathroom and room facilities. Chose the hotel restaurant for our first night and had a great meal with interesting cocktails served in the beautiful poolside setting. A little more expensive than local restaurants but you are paying for service and setting. My fish was especially delicious. The breakfast in the morning was amazing and kept us going pretty much all day. The beach is miles of golden sand and very quiet. The sea was warm and calm the first day but a bit more of a swell the next day so beware if not a strong swimmer to say close to shore. However, the wonderful array of beds and sun loungers on the lawn by the two pools with iced tea and cold towels was better than the sand for me. There were bikes for free loan and a couple of canoes but we used our hire car to explore the northern part of the island and try local bars and restaurants. Still plenty of time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet but next time must make time for a massage too.

A perfect resort to spend a great long week end. We booked a pool villa. Very nice layout with all you may need for a few days of pure relax. Restaurant and bar are well kept with a nice touch. Food is fresh and well prepared. It came at a price! Probably bit too expensive for Phuket but the service is good and the view from the roof terrace is great.
Facilities are nice and there is a broad choice of long chairs, sofa bed or mattress all around the two pools in a very nice turf. Only useless things are the 2 small soccer nets and the volleyball net. It is definitively not a place where you should play sport! But the real main advantage is the location. Very far from the buzz of Phuket, just in front of a 5km pristine and wild but well kept sand beach. There should be a proper pathway from the resort leading to the beach - it will make accessing the beach a little more comfortable.
We were also extremely pleased with the late checkout at 4pm that we were given as our flight was at 8pm.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and retreat that my wife and I needed. Amazing place and we will def be back!!

We had such a wonderful time in Sala Resort. We stayed in a garden villa and requested to change villas when we arrived because the original villa's pool didn't get the sun (and we wanted sun)! The staff were really kind and speedy about it, and made up the new room very quickly so that we could move in. Special thanks to MON who was absolutely fantastic, very friendly and professional and personable, and she made our stay very enjoyable. The rest of the staff were lovely too. The lunch and dinner were AMAZING (sans the ala carte breakfast, we don't know why it wasn't that great), the drinks were fantastic, everything about the resort was lovely and relaxing. There's nothing much to do there, but we enjoyed ourselves very much it was a much needed break for us. Only thing I would say wasn't that great (other than breakfast) was the smells of the lotions (not my thing), but other than that our stay was perfect. Thank you Sala and thank you MON!

Room Tip: If you dont want sun in your pool, the side of Villa 19 is good. If you want all-day sun, definitely...

We booked a balcony room, but got upgraded to the garden pool villa. The room was beautifully designed and spotless. The service was impeccable, the staff seemed to always popped out of no where to help you with any needs.
Breakfast was superb. The iced tea by the pool was also a nice touch.

The only con, perhaps, is that dinner might be a bit pricy. Anyhow, it tasted great.

Overall, amazing experience! I rarely get a chance to go on a vacation with my partner so this was definitely a good choice. Will absolutely go back, and also try other Salas.
